How have I managed to keep our baby’s skin happy? 🤍
We’re almost six months in, and so far he hasn’t had a single nappy rash. Every baby is different, but these are the habits we’ve followed from day one:
✨ Change nappies frequently (we usually change them every couple of hours and straight after a poo).
✨ Choose breathable, good-quality nappies to help reduce excess moisture.
✨ Apply a gentle barrier cream with minimal ingredients to help protect the skin from moisture and friction.
✨ Give baby’s skin a few moments to air dry before putting on a fresh nappy whenever possible.
A baby’s skin is much thinner and more delicate than adult skin, so reducing prolonged contact with moisture and potential irritants can help support a healthy skin barrier.
A few products we’ve loved and used so far: 🤍
✨ Pura Nappies
✨ Mild by nature - Organic Diaper Balm
✨ Avene Cicalfate restorative cream and thermal spring water
These simple habits have worked beautifully for us, and I hope they’re helpful if you’re navigating those early months with your little one.
