Big welcome to Sophie! 💙

After joining Young’s in 2021 at The Alma Wandsworth and more recently becoming Service Master at the The Rose & Crown | Pub with Rooms, Sophie has now taken the next step in her Young’s journey, joining the Copper House People team as a Retail Trainer.

From working in a pub while at university to taking on leadership and now supporting others across our pubs, Sophie’s journey is a great example of the opportunities to grow and progress at Young’s.

From farm to fork 🐖

Some of our chefs recently visited Dingley Dell Farm in Suffolk with Exec Chefs Ryan and Pete, getting the chance to see first-hand where some of the pork we use in our pubs comes from.

They toured the farm, met the piglets and learnt more about the care, welfare and attention to detail that goes into producing quality pork.

The day finished with a BBQ at Mark’s home, showcasing Dingley Dell’s produce - the perfect way to round off a day of learning, good food and time together. ☀️

We recently brought together our brilliant Service Masters for a well-earned celebration in the City, hosted by our fantastic partners at Pernod.

Our Service Masters play such an important role in our pubs - championing great service, supporting their teams and helping create brilliant guest experiences every day.

A great away day, with a little bit of Young’s history along the way🍻

One of our area teams recently headed to the Cotswolds for an away day, exploring the pubs of Cheltenham before dinner at The Farmer’s Dog, courtesy of our friends at Hawkstone.

While there, they discovered the pub they were visiting was once part of the Young’s family. During a recent refurb, an old Young’s wastage book from 2010 was found hidden beneath the floorboards - a lovely reminder that a little piece of our history can turn up anywhere!
