🌻 Meet Jake Russell at The Sunflower Centre

We're delighted to welcome Jake Russell, an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist, to The Sunflower Centre.

Jake works with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, chronic illness, and relationship difficulties. His compassionate, client-centred approach combines relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, mindfulness, and body-based therapies to help people better understand themselves and create lasting change.

Jake offers one-to-one therapy sessions on Thursdays at The Sunflower Centre and provides a free introductory video call to explore whether therapy with him feels like the right fit.

There is no agenda, theme, counselling, or grief support offered; simply a respectful, group-led conversation that encourages reflection and connection around a topic often avoided in everyday life.

Death Cafés are part of a worldwide movement that aims to increase awareness of death and help people live more fully.

Reintroducing - Laura McCrave

I became an osteopath to help people understand and overcome their pain, empowering them with the knowledge to support their recovery. My personal experience with back pain during a stressful time in my life was key to discovering osteopathy and ultimately transforming my own health.

I specialise in treating musculoskeletal pain caused by lifestyle, work, and pregnancy-related factors, including discomfort in the neck, back, shoulders, and hips. Using a combination of structural techniques like massage and joint articulation, along with the calming approach of cranial osteopathy, I focus on reducing pain and enhancing the body’s ability to manage daily activities with ease.

I also have a deep understanding of the role stress plays in pain and healing, and I work particularly well with individuals going through challenging life stages. I incorporate movement and breathwork techniques to improve both physical and mental well-being, helping you feel balanced and supported.

I pride myself on creating a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for everyone. I particularly enjoy working with individuals in their later years, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those who enjoy an active lifestyle. My goal is to provide effective, personalised care that helps you achieve lasting results.

As an avid runner and member of the local running community, I bring my own experience to the table when it comes to treating running-related injuries or niggles. You can often find me at Hilly Fields parkrun on Saturday mornings, before heading to the Sunflower Centre in the afternoon to support my patients.
