✨ A historic first - and here’s the story behind it.

When Dr. Nora Nugent became President of both The BAAPS and European Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in September 2024, she had a vision: to bring the two societies together for a joint meeting that would benefit on both sides.

“I felt this would promote a collaborative relationship and allow members of each organisation to benefit from the expertise across both societies.”

BAAPS was founded in 1979. ESAPS grew from EASAPS, founded in 2007. For nearly five decades, both societies have championed aesthetic surgery education, patient safety and regulation - independently.

Until now.

In October 2026, Dr. Nora Nugent will hand over presidency to Dr. Anthony MacQuillan (BAAPS) and Dr. Pierfrancesco Cirillo (ESAPS) - but not before helping to make history.
