Hughes APS Trust

Hughes APS Trust The Hughes APS Trust (formerly GHIC) was founded by expert doctors and researchers to educate, raise awareness, and fund vital research into Hughes Syndrome.

We rely entirely on donations to continue our life-changing work. Thank you for your support! We are proud to now be the Hughes APS Trust (formerly Graham Hughes International Charity, GHIC). Our new name marks an exciting new chapter — but our mission stays the same. We work to raise awareness, educate patients, doctors, and the wider public, and fund vital research to improve diagnosis, treatmen

t, and care for people living with Hughes Syndrome (APS). Hughes Syndrome (APS) is a serious autoimmune disorder that can cause blood clots, pregnancy loss, strokes, and other life-threatening complications. Too often, it goes undiagnosed or misunderstood. Together, we can change that. We rely 100% on donations to power everything we do. Every gift you make helps to fund education, raise life-saving awareness, and drive research that brings hope to people with APS around the world. Please donate today and be part of building a better future for everyone affected by APS. Thank you for standing with us!

Can’t make it to our Patients' meeting in person?

Virtual attendance tickets are available NOW! 💻

As a small charity, it’s important to us to balance accessibility with maintaining a strong in-person event and sense of community on the day.

We know that for many people, travel, fatigue, health or distance can make attending difficult, so we hope this livestream option allows even more people to take part. The livestream will be a simple, fixed camera view of the presenter and slides.

🎟️ Virtual tickets: £10
📅 28/05/26
📍 Livestream via Microsoft Teams

We hope offering a virtual option allows even more of our community to feel included and connected.

Great news — we’ve spoken with St Thomas’ and we’re able to live-stream our Patients’ Meeting, so even more of our community can be part of it!

Our priority is still bringing everyone together in person, and we’d absolutely love to see as many of you there as possible.

The live stream will be a simple presenter view. We’ll be inviting questions in advance, with a few taken live on the day if possible.

We’re just confirming whether recording will be possible and will update you soon.

🎟️ Virtual tickets go on sale **Friday 8th May at 12 noon**.
