If you’re dreading dinner, endlessly worrying about what your kids ate (or didn’t eat) today, or want to get off the dieting treadmill and break the cycle of family food issues… I see you.

For 20+ years as a registered nutritionist, I’ve worked with hundreds of families facing:

😤 mealtime stress
😣 picky eating
😖 food battles
😔 dieting mindset
🥺 endless food worry
😓 nutrition information overwhelm

I’ve created a 12 week 1:1 coaching programme that will help you:

✅ untangle years of diet culture

✅ build confident around feeding your family

✅ stop feeling guilty or like a failure at mealtimes

✅ create calm, sociable eating experiences the whole family actually enjoys (yes even with a picky eater!)

So if you want to feel heard, reassured, understood and supported - all with absolutely no judgement - and you’re ready to stop overthinking and start enjoying food, I’d love you to get in touch.

Remember:

💜 Reaching out doesn’t mean you’re failing or that you’re a bad parent. It means you’re a great parent who’s ready to prioritise what’s really important right now.

💜 It’s so much easier to make changes when you’ve got someone in your corner who understands (hello 🤗)

💜 You deserve to enjoy food and look forward to family mealtimes.

If not now… when?

If you’d like to chat there are two ways you can get in touch:
1. Send me a DM with the word ‘RESET’
2. or complete the short form in my bio.

Excited to support you!

‼️ We really need to break the generational cycle of food negativity.

That includes restriction, diet culture, desire for thinness…the list goes on, sadly 🥺

But just being aware of how powerful our own health behaviours are on our kids is the very first step to making sure that what we pass on to them is helpful.

We know children are like sponges, so when it comes to learning about food and eating behaviour this is what’s going on👇

🗣️ they’re soaking up every word they hear at mealtimes;

👀 they’re watching everything you eat (and everything you don’t);

🧠 and they’re subconsciously forming their own attitudes about food and eating that they’ll likely carry through into adulthood and pass down to their children.

I’ve know I’ve definitely got my own (complicated) family food history, which probably goes some way to explaining why I’m here doing what I do, but that’s a story for another day!

💡What ideas about food are your children picking up? 💡Is there anything you’d want to change?
💡Or any cycles you might want to break?

If this has got you thinking, even just a little bit, I’m inviting you to book a free 45-minute ‘Healthy Mum Reset’ call with me next week. We can chat about things like:

💛 where you’re at right now with food (or wellbeing in general)
💛 where you want to be
💛 and what’s getting in the way

Together we’ll come up with a plan to get you on the right path to having healthier habits and a more positive relationship with food.

Don’t overthink it though - just get it in the diary!

✨ >>> the link to book is in my bio.

Feel free to send a dm if you want to ask me anything, I’m here for all your questions! ☺️

Parents reach out for help with their child’s eating, but so often we end up focusing on their own health habits. Often parents are on a new diet, skipping dinners or just run ragged with no time or energy to give their own wellbeing a second thought.

This is why I’m trialling something new ✨

I want to put my behaviour change training and health coaching skills to better use ✨

I want to help parents reclaim control over their health and prioritise their own wellbeing for a change ✨

Are you ready to rebuild healthy habits?!

Stay tuned and I’ll share more over the coming days 👀

You’re so busy looking after the kids and family it’s no wonder your own health & wellbeing falls to the bottom of the pile.

But the power of feeling well in yourself can have such an impact, not only on you, but on everyone else around you too.

I find that when I prioritise my own needs (eating well, exercising, finding micro-moments for relaxation…) these things ‘magically’ happen:

🪄 I have more mental energy to think about meal planning and food for the family;

🪄 I have more patience to help my kids with their homework and anything else they might need from me;

🪄 I’m generally a nicer, happier person to be around which has a knock-on effect on everyone else’s mood (important in a house of teenagers!)

Do you find it easy to build healthy habits into your days? Where could you do with making changes?

If you’ve been feeling the weight of ‘I should be feeding them better’ this post is for you 🙂

You care so much about your child’s health. You read all the nutrition articles, you plan healthy meals and you worry when they push them away.

You think other parents have it all figured out. But they don’t.

Here’s the truth about raising healthy eaters that you won’t ever read about:

The harder you try to ‘get it right’, the heavier mealtimes will feel and the more you, and your children, will dread them.

Kids don’t thrive under pressure. They thrive when they feel safe, understood and accepted.

This is your permission to take a step back. Worry less and connect more. You are doing enough.

Your child needs you to be there - relaxed and connected at mealtimes. That’s more nourishing than any perfect plate or eaten portion of broccoli ever could be ❤️

I set up this page 14 years ago.

Anyone remember when it was called ‘Teeny Tummies’? I had the cutest little baby cartoon logo.

But as I moved away from giving baby feeding and weaning advice I changed my business name too.

Since 2020, I have been The Family Food Coach.

It’s been a bit of a squiggly path getting me to where I am today, but I am more focussed and motivated now than ever.

My mission is clear. I’m here to help parents:

💜 feel more relaxed about food

💜 feel more confident about feeding their children and picky eaters well (after trying everything)

💜 have calmer, happier family mealtimes

💜 actually enjoy feeding their kids!

If you’re still here after all these years, THANK YOU.

There is more to come. But first, a move. I’m setting up a FFC Community Facebook group and would love you to join me over there.

Stay tuned for the details.

You are not a bad parent if your child doesn’t eat dinner, or refuses their veggies, or turns their nose up at something they ate the week before. Frustrating and worrying as it can be, it’s not your fault - it’s what kids do 🤍

How is it March?! 🌼🌼🌼 The year is flying and there’s been so much change for me in 2024 already… I got a job working for an amazing public health charity, so am now an employee - as well as a business owner! Anyway, it’s a very good thing for me on a number of personal levels, and I’m glad to say the adjustment is going well. But this shift has made me more determined than ever to keep my family nutrition & child feeding business alive, and to not just provide supportive and informative services for parents, but also accessible ones. I’ve got so many ideas (watch this space) but would also love to hear about what sorts of things you think might help you… My inbox is always open 💌

Let 2024 be the year you start enjoying family mealtimes.
