Itβs been a whole week since being back from our Swiss adventure β and what a gorgeous place it was ππ¨πβ¨ Itβs taught me so much about life, gratitude, and slowing down to truly see whatβs around me. Hereβs what Iβm taking away from this experience:
πΏ I will continue to appreciate the beauty of nature β the mountains, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and wildflowers. All of these were simply breathtaking. The weather did not stop us as we got caught in a thunderstorm and got soaked and battled intense heat on some of our hikes!
π That life isnβt a race and itβs so important to slow down, breathe and be present. The Swiss pace of life taught me to be ok when stepping out of comfort zones. It was the first time travelling on trains and public transport - not easy, but we embraced the systems and went with the flow!
π Fresh air and open spaces heal the soul β thereβs magic in disconnecting from busy routines and reconnecting with nature. I love daily walks and being outdoors, even if itβs just some time in the garden or going for a walk.
πΆπ½ββοΈ Move your body for joy, not just to tick a box β walking those mountain trails wasnβt exercise, it was nourishment. There were some aches and pains but with a good pair of boots and being prepared for all weathers we kept active and had so much fun.
βοΈ Simple pleasures matter β good coffee with a view, a lakeside snack and watching a sunset.
π«Άπ½ Gratitude is everything β for your health, your freedom, your loved ones and the opportunities you have.
Feeling so inspired to weave more of this energy into my everyday life πΈβ¨ Whatβs something your recent travels have taught you? ππ«
