The Mind and Soul Foundation

The Mind and Soul Foundation Supporting Christian leader resilience and mental health www.mindandsoulfoundation.org But actually lots of people can identify with this area.

In many churches and mental health settings, there is a no-go zone: where mental health and spiritual health meet. Our mental health is not discussed in churches or fellowships and spirituality is often seen as a small part of our mental health. "I love The Mind and Soul Foundation for many reasons: Its informative and accessible, packed with great resources, information on groups, and courses. Th

ere's something for the mental health professional, the pastor, the person on the street. But what I think is so great about The Mind and Soul Foundation is that it dares to share what we all know, but are scared to admit: we're broken people. We live with hurts and fears that overwhelm, and habits that we may even be ashamed of. Aren't we Christians supposed to have it all together? The Mind and Soul Foundation gives hope, acceptance, practical wisdom and some signposts when our lives fall apart. As a Christian leader I think its about time we had something like this. As a former sufferer of Post natal depression, I'm just glad that websites like this exist." Jo Saxton

After twenty years of supporting Christian leaders, our friends at The Mind and Soul Foundation are concluding their work as a charity. 🧔

The team at Mind & Soul have generously chosen to pass many of their informative and enriching blog posts, articles and digital resources onto us.

These will find a new home as part of our upcoming Support Hub, due to launch at the end of this year.

Dear friends,

Today we have some important - and exciting - news to share with you! After two decades at the forefront of the conversation between faith and mental health, it is time for a new season - and therefore we've taken the decision that The Mind and Soul Foundation will formally conclude its charitable operations later this year.

The Mind and Soul Foundation has been a pioneering voice in helping churches, Christian leaders, and individuals engage with mental health in thoughtful, compassionate, and theologically grounded ways. But we've always worked in this ministry alongside each having our own full-time roles. Whilst we're still 100% committed to continuing to shape the conversations around mental health and wellbeing, we've sensed for a while that the Lord is saying it's time for us to do this in a new way. So while the charity itself will be closing, its legacy will continue through an exciting new partnership with Clergy Support Trust, with our article archive finding a natural new home in their brand new up-coming online Support Hub. We'll also be working with CST as they support leaders and create further resources in future.

Clergy Support Trust traces its origins to 1655, and today provides financial, health, and mental wellbeing support to Anglican clergy and their families throughout the Anglican national churches. We will be sharing more about this new season of transition and collaboration in the coming days. And each of us as directors will be continuing our individual ministry work - so expect to keep hearing from us on our own social media channels.

We hope you will join us in celebrating everything that has been achieved together. It has been a genuine privilege to serve in this mission alongside such a generous and committed community of supporters. Thank you for being part of this story.

We would love to let you know about a new bible plan available on the YouVersion bible app, 'Finding Jesus in the Storm', from Professor John Swinton and Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries.

This is a 7-part bible devotional to support those living through psychosis and schizophrenia, offering reflections and prayers rooted in Scripture and the lived experience of others as an invitation towards faith, hope, and the possibility of healing, even when cure seems distant.

Start reading the plan via the link below, or search for 'Finding Jesus in the Storm' in your YouVersion bible app.

"The concept of neurodiversity is increasingly gaining recognition and importance across different sectors of society... However, discussions about neurodiversity within the Church are still seemingly in the early stages."

Chi-Chi explores the experience of neurodiverse individuals within Church settings, and encourages us to embrace neurodiversity to create more inclusive and spiritually enriching spaces.
