HPV (human papillomavirus) is a very common virus. While for most of us it is not harmful, some types are linked to several kinds of cancer.

All young people between 12 and 13 years old can have the HPV vaccine at school or at a community clinic.

If you miss your vaccine at school, you can catch up at a local community clinic. Details can be found on our website: www.kingstonandrichmond.nhs.uk/services/service-search-z/immunisations-childrens

This week is the World Health Organization (WHO) .

Did you know that over the last 50 years, essential vaccines have saved at least 154 million lives? That’s 6 lives a minute, every day, for five decades!

This year’s World Immunisation Week theme, “For every generation, vaccines work”, aims to promote how vaccines have safely protected people, families, and communities for generations – and continue to safeguard our future.
