There's nothing we love more than seeing parents and children take on the Vitality Westminster Mile 🩷

Our one-mile course is full of iconic landmarks, starting with a dash down The Mall, bending past Horse Guards Parade, along Birdcage Walk before a spectacular finish right outside of Buckingham Palace. 🤩

Take the chance to do something active as a family and create a special memories in the process by taking on our event on Saturday 26 September 🫶

At last year's Vitality Westminster Mile, 434 participants came together to claim the record for the most people dressed as superheroes to complete the same one mile run 💪

This year, we have a wave going for the title of most people dressed in pyjamas in a single one mile run. 😪

The British Athletics One-Mile Road Race Championships returns to the Vitality Westminster Mile 🇬🇧

On Saturday 26 September, the British Athletics championship race will form part of the British Milers' Club (BMC) Bannister Mile. It is the first time since 2019 that the race will take place at our event. 🏆

This wave is open to everyone eligible to compete for UK and English Championships, and British Milers Club members. Entrants must be aiming to run faster than the following times:
⚡️ 4:50 for men
⚡️ 5:34 for women

We're going for a Guinness World Records title! 🤩

Last year at the 2025 Vitality Westminster Mile, we set a Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as superheroes to complete the one-mile run. 🦸🏼

This year, we're planning a NEW Guinness World Records title attempt for the most people wearing pyjamas to complete the same one-mile run.

Anyone, of any age or ability, can join the record-breaking attempt, which will be held as one of a series of waves at the Vitality Westminster Mile. Participants can run, jog, walk or wheel in pyjamas of their choice, whether that is in matching family outfits, classic flannel sets or character-inspired onesies.
