Walfinch believe good care means never standing still.

We are always looking for ways to learn, improve and do things better.

We do not take compliance lightly.

Behind every care plan is a person. Someone with a lifetime of experiences, memories and relationships. Someone who has placed their trust in us. That's why standards matter.

For us, maintaining high standards isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about making sure the care we provide is safe, compassionate, consistent and something we can genuinely be proud of.

We recently welcomed Amanda Keeler, Walfinch’s National Quality and Compliance Manager, to our office. Her visit was a valuable opportunity to reflect on what we do well, where we can improve and how we can continue to raise our standards.

We are proud of our team, proud of the care we deliver and committed to maintaining the high standards our clients and their families expect from us.

There's nothing quite like catching up over a coffee with like-minded professionals.

It was a pleasure to catch up with Andy Larkham from Secure Wills. We share a real passion for educating people about the importance of planning for later life and helping individuals and families make informed decisions before they reach a point of crisis.

By working together, we can raise awareness of topics such as Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills, future care planning and the support available to help people remain independent at home for longer.

Thank you, Andy, for a great conversation. We are looking forward to working together on some exciting events over the coming months and continuing to support our local community.

It’s easy to talk about great care. Hearing it from a family means so much more.

Making the decision to arrange care for yourself or someone you love isn’t always easy. There can be so many questions, worries and emotions along the way.

That’s why receiving kind words like these means more than just a review. We are providing not just care, but reassurance, companionship and peace of mind when families need it most.

A huge thank you to our wonderful client for taking the time to share their experience with us. 🧡

If you or someone you love is thinking about care at home, our friendly team would be happy to have a chat and see how we can help.

We recently sat down with Peter (98 years old), to hear about his incredible life, his memories of growing up in West Wickham, and what having care and support at home means to him.

Peter has seen almost a century of change, from horse-drawn carts and wartime Britain to smartphones and online shopping!
But when we asked what matters most in life, his answer was simple:

“Love and friendship.”

And that's exactly what companionship care can bring. Talking about his carer Sally, Peter said:

"The help that she gives me is essential for me, and my carer is wonderful!"

We feel very lucky to have Peter share his story with us.

We'll be sharing more of Peter's story in the coming weeks.

Exciting news! We're proud to announce a partnership that's set to make a real difference in our local community.

Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks is now the first official partner of the wonderful Orpington Village Hall Friendship Café Orpington Village Hall Trust. 💙

The Friendship Café is a truly special place, bringing together people living with dementia, their families, friends, carers and members of the local community. Every month, guests enjoy themed activities, refreshments, gentle exercise, entertainment and, most importantly, the opportunity to connect, laugh and make new friendships in a warm and welcoming environment.

We have had the pleasure of working alongside the fantastic team at the café through a number of community events, so becoming their first official partner feels incredibly meaningful. Together, we share a passion for creating inclusive communities where everyone feels valued, supported and connected.

A huge thank you to Louise and all of the amazing volunteers who make the Friendship Café such a special place. Your dedication and kindness make a real difference to so many local people, and we are proud to support you as you continue this wonderful work.

At Walfinch, we believe strong communities help people live well for longer. We look forward to building this partnership and continuing to support people living with dementia, their families and unpaid carers across Bromley and Sevenoaks.

Here's to many happy afternoons of friendship, laughter and community together.

It was a pleasure to welcome Riyad Rahmoune from Fleetwood Heir Hunting Services LTD. to the Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks office last week.

Fleetwood, an independent firm of probate researchers and genealogists, works closely with local authorities and legal professionals across the UK. Their expertise includes genealogical research, tracing missing beneficiaries, family tree verification, intestacies, and supporting Court of Protection solicitors with Statutory Will Applications.

It was fascinating to learn more about the invaluable work that Riyad and the Fleetwood team undertake to support families and professionals through what can often be complex and sensitive situations.

At Walfinch Home Care Bromley & Sevenoaks, we believe that building strong relationships with trusted professionals across the health, care and legal sectors enables us to better support our local community. We look forward to collaborating with Riyad and the Fleetwood team in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us, Riyad. We look forward to working together.
