And just like that… they’re back at school! 🙌🏽

Year 10 for my eldest, which means it’s time to get serious as GCSEs are now upon us 😭

I’ve also realised that between three kids, GCSEs and A Levels, I’m basically booked and busy with exam stress for the next SIX YEARS 🫠

And after that… university, or whatever they decide to do🥹

Which I can’t quite understand because I’m pretty sure they were all in primary school about five minutes ago.

They’re growing up. The little human years are disappearing, and as much as I love watching who they’re becoming… it would be reaaaallllyyy nice if time could slow down just a tiny bit now 😭

Here’s to Year 10 and Year 8📚

I’ve heard “I haven’t been to the gym ALL summer” from so many mums lately and honestly I was a little shocked…

Were we really too busy to find 1-2 hours a week for 6-8 weeks?

Or are mums just so used to putting everyone else first that our own health simply takes a back seat? 👀

There’s no judgement here but if you want results, you have to stop treating the things that get you there as optional.

Maybe the hardest questions aren’t the ones we ask other people.

They’re the ones we ask ourselves.

It’s about questioning our own assumptions, questioning the narratives we’re presented with, and asking whether we really apply the same principles equally to everyone.

The goal on holiday isn’t to be perfect.

It’s to enjoy yourself without coming home feeling like you’ve “ruined everything.”

Eat the food. Have the cocktail. Make the memories!

Then get back to your normal routine when you’re home. The key is consistency, as long as the holiday week doesn’t turn into six weeks of being off track, you’re good! 🤍
