A subtle but meaningful transformation ✨

This patient presented with a hypopigmented scar to the central forehead after accidentally hitting their head on the corner of a shelf. The scar appeared as a lighter triangular area with partial melanin loss.

After just two treatments, we’ve already seen visible improvement in skin tone and texture, helping to soften the appearance of the scar while supporting natural pigment restoration.

I want to reintroduce a research study I participated in that was published back in 2021: ‘My face in someone else’s hands’: a qualitative study of medical tattooing in women with hair loss, published in Psychology, Health & Medicine.

This work was carried out in collaboration with Dr Nicola Marie Stock and her team at the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) and University of the West of England, and continues to contribute to important conversations around appearance, wellbeing, and patient experience.
