๐ฟ As a movement expert and nervous system educator I am well aware of the impact of rest and recovery on our health.
Having a toddler who still wakes up often at night and passes me all sort of viruses from nursery is definitely an important factor to consider when it comes to my energy levels.
But a couple of weeks ago I decided to finally book a blood test (my last one was during pregnancy) to figure out if thereโs more behind my constant exhaustion than just poor sleep.
So I went to Canary Wharf to take their test checking for more than 40 markers.
I have to admit, I am still not particularly comfortable around needles, but the test was actually really quick, and the team was lovely and open to answer all my questions.
The clinic is so much nicer and cosier than the ones I have been before, so the experience was more relaxing than I expected.
The results came back quickly. It turns out, everything is fine, but it seems like my hormones are a bit all over the place, and perimenopause might be closer than I thought.
Great to have some answers and to know what to focus on from now on to welcome the next chapter ๐ช
