This Father’s Day, we’re highlighting the importance of recognising and supporting fathers’ and partners’ mental health during pregnancy and after birth.
Becoming a parent is a major life transition. It is common for fathers to experience stress, overwhelm, low mood and changes in their relationships. Many fathers, partners and non-birthing people also find that bonding with their baby happens gradually over time.
Support may be helpful if feelings are becoming persistent, affecting day-to-day functioning, impacting your relationships or making it difficult to cope with everyday responsibilities.
