Every year since 2018, Jerry has taken on March for Men with his friends and family 🚶

At 56, a routine check with his GP led to a PSA blood test and a prostate cancer diagnosis that changed everything for him.

Jerry was a single dad at the time and telling his son, Tom, about his diagnosis was the hardest part.

Jerry told us: "My cancer diagnosis had an impact on me mentally. The thought of Tom going through what I'm going through is really upsetting."

He’s found strength and support through his son, his partner Ali and our Specialist Nurses 💙

Join us to help fund lifesaving research and vital support and for men and their families like Jerry's.

📆 Walk 2.5km, 5km, 10km or 20km starting in Battersea Park, London, on Saturday 13 June.

AI could make prostate cancer monitoring more precise. But what does that mean in practice? 🤔

By building a clearer picture of each man’s cancer, this research could help doctors:

👉 Reduce unnecessary tests and biopsies
👉 Focus monitoring where it’s needed most
👉 Spot changes earlier

It’s about making active surveillance more precise and better tailored to the individual - using all the available information.

When life gives you potatoes, carry them on your back for 57 miles? 🥔

Jack and Harvey work with their dad, Peter, as part of their family business, supplying potatoes to fish and chip shops across North Wales and Chester.

After Peter was successfully treated for prostate cancer the pair felt driven to give something back.

They're planning to deliver a 25kg sack of potatoes on foot from their unit in Wrexham to a fish and chip shop in Barmouth 🐟

The duo hopes to complete the challenge in around 28 hours with no sleep and will share lifting duties of the giant sack.

They have also enlisted the help of Wrexham AFC, including manager Phil Parkinson, who put the boys – and the giant bag – through their paces at the STōK Cae Ras.

💙 The challenge is a brilliant demonstration of people coming together against prostate cancer, to give more dads like Peter as much time as possible with the people they love.

👏 We're wishing the brothers the best of luck with the spud-tacular challenge ahead!

Active surveillance is a way of monitoring localised (early) prostate cancer, rather than treating it straight away 🔍

But tracking changes over time relies on a mix of PSA blood tests, MRI scans and biopsies to check on the cancer - and each one only tells part of the story.

🤖 We’re funding research using AI to bring this information together into one clearer picture of a man’s cancer.

The aim is to support better decisions about active surveillance - including which men are suitable, how often tests are needed and when treatment might be required.

A passenger in my taxi saved my life.

I’m Brian (pictured right), a 66-year-old taxi driver from Glasgow.

In 2024, I picked up a passenger called Tam.

He’d just been giving a talk for Prostate Cancer UK, and we got chatting like Glaswegians do.

He told me something that stuck - that early prostate cancer usually has no symptoms, and a PSA blood test is the first step to see if you might need further tests.

At the end of the ride, I said: “I’ll do this. It’s my commitment to you from our conversation.”

And I did.

A few months later, I was speaking to my GP about gallstones. She suggested a blood test to check my liver, and I asked for a PSA test too, remembering what Tam had said.

That decision changed everything.

In March 2025, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 prostate cancer.

Thankfully, it was caught early and treatable. I chose brachytherapy and was back driving within a week.

It could have been very different.

I often thought about Tam, and how I never got the chance to thank him.

Then at the end of last year, I picked him up again, completely by chance.

I told him who I was, shook his hand, and said: “By the way... you saved my life.”

Four years ago, Mark was diagnosed with prostate cancer completely out of the blue.

With no symptoms or warning signs, the news came as a huge shock, but thankfully it was caught early.

Since then, Mark has combined his love of golf with a determination to make a difference, raising over £300,000 to help save men’s lives.

This year, he’s organising 'On Your Marks' - a world record attempt for the largest golf competition featuring players all sharing the same name, with 88 'Marks' coming together to raise £88,000.

⛳ On your Marks, get set, golf!

The Grand Départ Classic is your chance to cycle the first three stages of the Tour de France - before the pros even touch the tarmac 🚴

For the first time, the Tour will be visiting Scotland, England, and Wales - following some of the most scenic routes the UK has to offer.

It's a challenge, an adventure, and a chance to fund research into transforming diagnosis and developing the treatments men need - ensuring more men are diagnosed early enough to be cured.
