Exciting news, orthotics have arrived at LPC! 🎉

Alongside our prosthetic services, we now offer Starband helmet therapy for the treatment of Plagiocephaly, and chest bracing for Pectus Carinatum and Pectus Excavatum.

Whether it's supporting your little one's head shape in those early months, or helping manage chest wall conditions with a bespoke bracing solution, our team brings the same client-centred approach you'd expect from LPC to every case.

Want to find out more or book an assessment? Get in touch, we're happy to talk you through it ☺️

What it's like getting your first prosthesis with LPC: Part Three 🎥

In part one, we got to know you and your goals. In part two, we captured the exact shape of your residual limb. Now, in part three, it's time for your trial socket 👀

This is manufactured on-site by our experienced technicians, and it's made from clear material for good reason: it allows your prosthetist to see exactly how the socket fits, checking for any areas of pressure. This is also your chance to tell us how it feels!

🎥 Part four coming soon, along with the full video.

Is it time for an upgrade? 🦾

Your first prosthesis might not be your last, and that's a good thing. As your goals change, so can your device.

Maybe you've watched the Commonwealth Games and fancy pushing yourself further. Maybe a fellow client's story has inspired you to try something new. Or maybe it's simply been a while since your last review, and you're wondering what's changed.

We work with some of the most advanced technology available, including the Steeper Espire Elbow, the TASKA CX hand, Proteor's QUATTRO MPK, and Point Design's range of partial digits, each designed to open up new levels of function and independence.

If you're curious about what's out there or think you might be due a review, get in touch. We'd love to talk through your options ☺️

Ever wondered what it's like getting your first prosthesis with us? Let us show you! 🦾

In part one of our "What it's like getting your first prosthesis with LPC" series, we got to know you and your goals. Now, in part two, we move on to capturing the exact shape of your residual limb.

To get the most accurate results, we use a mix of measuring and casting techniques to create a precise mould, this becomes the foundation for a comfortable, well-fitted socket.

🎥 Part three is coming soon, along with the full video.

This gorgeous little one is about to graduate from his Starband Plagiocephaly treatment! 🌟

In just three months, we've seen a real improvement in his cranial vault height and posterior symmetry, and his head shape now falls safely within the normal range. As you can see, the family are over the moon with the results ☺️

Did you know we run regular orthotic clinics for the treatment of Plagiocephaly from our London clinic in collaboration with Steeper Clinic? If you'd like to find out more about Starband therapy or book an assessment, the details are on our website.
