Exciting news, orthotics have arrived at LPC! 🎉

Alongside our prosthetic services, we now offer Starband helmet therapy for the treatment of Plagiocephaly, and chest bracing for Pectus Carinatum and Pectus Excavatum.

Whether it's supporting your little one's head shape in those early months, or helping manage chest wall conditions with a bespoke bracing solution, our team brings the same client-centred approach you'd expect from LPC to every case.

This is manufactured on-site by our experienced technicians, and it's made from clear material for good reason: it allows your prosthetist to see exactly how the socket fits, checking for any areas of pressure. This is also your chance to tell us how it feels!

To get the most accurate results, we use a mix of measuring and casting techniques to create a precise mould, this becomes the foundation for a comfortable, well-fitted socket.

This gorgeous little one is about to graduate from his Starband Plagiocephaly treatment! 🌟

In just three months, we've seen a real improvement in his cranial vault height and posterior symmetry, and his head shape now falls safely within the normal range. As you can see, the family are over the moon with the results ☺️

Summer is just around the corner ☀️ Whether you're planning a beach holiday, a day on the water, or just want a bit more freedom in the warmer months, there are prosthetic options that could make a real difference!

Here are a few you may not know about:

🌊 Water skiing and wakeboarding: The Ottobock ProCarve snow and watersports prosthesis is built for exactly this. It supports the dynamic movements needed for water skiing and wakeboarding.

🏖 Beach days and hiking: The Pro Armour range protects your prosthetic foot and ankle components from sand, dust, dirt and splashes. The Pro Armour Lite fits over your existing foot shell and is simple to put on and take off. The Pro Armour PLUS goes further, with a rubberised sole that means you can go footwear-free, whether you're walking along the shoreline or sitting poolside, without worrying about damage to your components.
