Rice is a staple for many people, but it is one of those foods that can push blood sugar up quickly.
Cauliflower rice is a simple lower-carb swap that works brilliantly with curries, stir-fry recipes and saucy dishes. But letโs be honest, cauliflower can be a bit bitter. If it is watery, under-seasoned or treated like a punishment, nobody is going to be excited about eating it.
The trick is to cook off the excess moisture, season it properly, and use it with meals that already have plenty of flavour. Add garlic, herbs, butter, olive oil, and spices to add flavour.
You still get the feel of a proper meal, just with a lower-carb base that is much kinder from a blood sugar perspective.
