Our History!

Originally from Brazil, when I moved to the UK to be with my husband, I suffered a lot with dry, irritated skin. Without really understanding the cause, I tried all sorts of moisturizers and creams hoping to relieve it. This worked at first, but it did not address the underlying cause - which I found to be a combination of the lower humidity and the drying effect of compounds found in off the shelf shower gels. In addition to this, we always recycle our waste, but even recycling takes energy to collect, sort, process if even does get recycled (after it is collected you lose track of it). At Christmas my husband and I like to make gifts rather than buy them, everyone loved the soaps we produced and I really enjoy the art behind making them - it didn't take long before I was hooked. The business has been built with the core principles of reducing waste, eliminating plastic packaging, raising awareness of the damage caused by irresponsible palm oil plantations, but also providing a product that your skin deserves. Being environmentally conscious doesn't have to be difficult, we are making it as easy as swapping out your shower gel. If enough people can make small changes like this, we can really make a difference and turn the tied on waste.
