Anastasis Tzanis Reversing the Toll of Autoimmune and Heart Stress Without the Cycle of Endless Meds (for women 40+).

From Greece to New York to London, I served in the Greek Special Forces as a paratrooper for 1-year, traded currency derivatives in New York and then London for 7 years and picked up a couple of other dopamine-driven hobbies along the way! During my time working in banking, I noticed how detrimental stress can be on our bodies – leading to stiffness, early ageing, and injury, which led me to begin

Ever look at a supplement label and feel like you’re reading a foreign language? 😵‍💫

If you are trying to optimise your nervous system, mistaking L-Threonine for L-Threonate (or vice versa) means you might be targeting your muscles when you meant to target your brain!

🧠 L-Threonate has a "backstage pass" to the brain. Because it crosses the blood-brain barrier seamlessly, it is the ultimate tool for banishing brain fog, quietening a racing mind, and improving deep sleep quality (Li et al., 2014; Mito Health, 2026).

💪 L-Threonine is the structural workhorse. As an essential amino acid, it creates calming chemicals that halt muscle twitching, protect your nerve pathways, and support physical recovery (Barbeau et al., 1982; Roufs, 1991).

We treat oxygen as good and carbon dioxide as bad, but that's exactly the wrong way to think about breathing.

Your cells can't actually use oxygen without carbon dioxide working alongside it.

The right breathing exercises intentionally elevate CO2 at specific heart rate zones, and that's what trains your body to use oxygen more efficiently.

Research has identified 5 genes that directly shape how your body handles fat, cholesterol, hunger and blood sugar:

FUT2 — Specific variants raise triglycerides by nearly 26 mg/dL and lower HDL by 5.7 mg/dL compared to the protective variant, independent of diet (PMID: 36263525).

APOE — The ε4 variant is linked to a 26–42% higher coronary heart disease risk. It determines how efficiently fat is cleared from your bloodstream after meals.

FTO — Carriers of the rs9939609 risk variant are 31% more likely to develop obesity, with the gene impairing the brain's ability to signal fullness after eating.

PPARG — The master regulator of fat cell creation. The Pro12 variant is associated with a 40% higher risk of type 2 diabetes (PMID: 16401314).

TCF7L2 — Carriers of the rs7903146 risk variant show a 30% reduction in GLP-1 response (PMID: 19934000) — the same pathway Ozempic and Mounjaro are built to activate. If you've ever wondered why those drugs work better for some people than others, this gene is part of the answer.

👉 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 for science-backed nutrition secrets to level up your wellness journey! 🚀🔔

I may be allergic to the word superfood, yet I cannot but acknowledge the many benefits of broccoli.

I remember when studying nutrition, a lecturer mentioned: When you take an exam, when in doubt for the answer, write: Broccoli or Zinc. 90% chance it's the correct answer.

Most people focus only on the diaphragm when it comes to breathing, but that's not where you should start.

The back, shoulders, rib cage, and core all need to be addressed first for breathing to truly improve.

When you build that foundation, posture improves and the diaphragm can finally move the way it's designed to.

WOMEN & CREATINE? 🤔

Think you need that daily scoop to keep up? 🥤

The fitness world claims creatine is mandatory!

Selling hacks can easily get traction. No effort is needed to take some powder 🤷🏻‍♂️, so let's try.

No mention made about working out hard. That's for those that don't know the science 😂.
Biohackers, podcasters, and the likes that have a "deep" understanding of science - they don't work hard - they optimise 🤣.

🤫 Let me let you into a SECRET:

"The Hack Is In The Workout"

Certain forms of exercise will increase your storage of creatine in your muscles.
Certain forms of diet will increase your creatine levels.
Cognitive utilisation by the brain increases during certain activities.

-without any creatine supplementation-

Does it mean that creatine has no use as a supplement?

It has, but for very different reasons than the ones claimed: Creatine production requires high use of methyl groups. ➡️ In periods when the methylation demands increase, taking creatine will free up methyl resources. To put in plain English:

The benefits of creatine (for most people) are indirect ➡️ Which means that an appropriate diet and lifestyle will minimise the need for supplementing.

The take 🏡 message is that, if you adopt the mentality of:
• taking metformin (a Type 2 Diabetes drug) to extend your lifespan but
• never sweat even in the gym to change top

you have been misguided.

Don't let marketing dictate your metabolic health.

Who is the primary guardian of your health?

Low testosterone increases the risk of erectile dysfunction by 40% — not because of mood, but because testosterone is essential fuel for the enzymes that produce nitric oxide.

These two have a direct two-way relationship: testosterone regulates nitric oxide production, and nitric oxide regulates the circulation needed for testosterone synthesis in the te**es.

Block one pathway, and the other drops by 30 to 40%.

Follow for weekly breakdowns on autoimmune mechanisms, cardiovascular risk in women over 40, and what precision diagnostics actually look like in practice.

Managing symptoms with corticosteroids and HRT — while low energy, digestive disruption, mood instability, and broken sleep quietly erode the life you've built.

ᴡʜʏ ʟɪꜰᴇꜱᴛʏʟᴇ ɪɴᴛᴇʀᴠᴇɴᴛɪᴏɴ ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇ ᴍɪꜱꜱɪɴɢ ᴍᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪꜱᴍ:
1️⃣ "Personalised nutrition" is not a prepackaged elimination diet 🔬
Low-FODMAP. Gluten-free. Dairy-free. You've tried them. But did anyone test your gut microbiome? Your hormonal panel? Your DNA?

A clinical nutrition protocol starts with your data — not a template.

2️⃣ You cannot affirm your way out of a dysregulated nervous system 🫁
Autonomic control begins with how you breathe — not how you think. Your breathing pattern governs your stress response at a physiological level, 24 hours a day, including when you're not conscious of it.

Has anyone ever taught you to train it?

3️⃣ A static protocol will fail a dynamic biology 📅
Social obligations. Cycle phases. Hormonal shifts as you age. A rigid plan that doesn't account for these variables isn't personalised — it's a guess.

Effective system optimisation adapts. It has rules for exceptions built in.

ᴡʜᴏ ᴛʜɪꜱ ɪꜱ ꜰᴏʀ: 👇
A woman who has built an extraordinary life — and refuses to let an autoimmune condition and abnormal lab results quietly dismantle it.
Your doctors have done everything within their remit. The question is: are you satisfied with where that's left you?

📩 If you relate to any of the above — your biology deserves a structural explanation, not another prescription.
