THROWBACK — THE BIG REVEAL! 🤭💗

Meet the LASH DOME! Who remembers this little beauty? 😂

Let’s take you back to around 2015, when lash artists everywhere were desperately trying to master the perfect volume fan!

We were investing in the latest boot tweezers or those VERY expensive Dumont tweezers, spending hours practising our handmade fans. 😅

Then along came the Lash Dome!

A clever little invention created by a fellow lash artist to help spread out the lashes, making them easier to fan and pick up.

And suddenly, everyone wanted one! These little handmade domes became one of the most sought-after tools in the lash industry. 😂

Back then, a full set of volume lashes could easily take 2–3+ hours, especially for beginners. Anything that could shave time off an appointment was revolutionary!

Fast-forward to 2026…

We now have easy fans, pro-mades, pre-mades and endless ready-to-apply lash options. What once took hours of practice can now be made so much easier.

And the poor Lash Dome? Almost forgotten! 🥹

To all the newer lash artists out there, you have NO IDEA how much the industry has evolved!

And to my fellow OG lash artists… WE SURVIVED THE HANDMADE FAN ERA! 😂🙌

Some of the prettiest work we get tagged in comes from people playing with colour. A ribbon of teal through a dark set, or something properly mad for competition season.

So we’ve made it easier to have a go.

Every colour, ombré and palette tray is £8.99 this month, and any 4 come to around £25.

One tip worth knowing: use a clear adhesive for colour lashes. Black glue shows through pastels and neons, and it’s what makes a colour set look cheaper than it is. Add a Fierce Clear 2ml to your colour order and that comes down too, so the whole lot is about £35.

Halloween sets, competition work, the client who always wants something different. Have a play.

But also the freedom, the creativity, the friendships, the conversations and watching something you built become yours.

Beautiful lashes matter. But the experience around them is what makes a client want to come back. 🤍

They notice when you remember something they told you. When you listen. When you have a laugh together. They also notice when you’re on your phone or keep leaving the room. Give them your attention while they’re in your chair.

Keep your standards high in the little things, too. Care about the lashes you create, give your client an aftercare kit, and show them how to brush and clean their lashes. Let them know why arriving with clean lashes matters. And when they message later with a question or want to book again, make it easy for them to reach you.

Then let people see your work. Post your sets, share what you know, and keep building your skills. Whether that’s lashes, brows, social media, AI, or entering a competition, there’s always room to grow.
