Sometimes I have so much imposter syndrome in being part of (how should I put it?) "conscious communities" when I've spent a lot of my life in a world that doesn't exactly align
I'm slowly coming to accept that I don't have to fit into anyone's expectations of what a "holistic practitioner" should be
Enjoy my visual CV that covers the past 23 years!
Look out for the flipside coming very soon
I thought that studying science would give me solid answers and security. That is not the path for the vast majority of academics
Part of my undergrad was a year in industry in Cambridge. Lots of memories punting on the river π
I do miss being in the lab and my favourite Gilson 1000 mL

My first non-temping job out of undergrad was kind of indescribable! Weekends collecting sweat-soaked cotton pads from under people's armpits and weighing them was a pretty low point!
Back in the day when most paperwork was actually paper!
I loved working with the very brilliant and kind doctors and nurses
NHS forever π
I went back to uni after a few years of missing the lab. Part of my PhD was a collab with amazing scientists in the mid-west
Arriving in February, I learnt that -40 Celsius is the equivalent of -40 Fahrenheit π₯Ά
The company crazily put me up in a hotel the whole time I was there. I have never had so many people be so open and kind... and insist that I go out to the countryside and shoot some guns! An experience!
The photo of me presenting has been lost to the sands of time forever (along with everything between 2014 and 2018 in a back-up error), so here I am at the Buenos Aires conference centre/bull market with all my lanyards
Not all (read: very few) PhD's yield groundbreaking findings, but I did manage to publish a review article
Points for those of you who can guess my middle name!
My next chapter after academia was medical communications
Again, lots of opportunity to travel (Europe, US, Asia), not so much to see too much outside of the hotel/conference centre
Always incredibly impressed with how much doctors at the top of their game can achieve in terms of learnings and kindness to their patients
The controversial (for some!) slide
Yes, I
