A lot of new clients that I meet are afraid of feeling their emotions. They want to run away from them, and not feel them. They are afraid of confronting anything that feels uncomfortable or difficult.

May is almost over and it's been so gloriously sunny and hot here in London. ☀️☀️☀️
This month has been very busy and it's really only when I look back that I realise how much I have done, seen, learnt and experienced.

A monthly reflection can help us slow down, cherry-pick the best bits and enjoy them all over again.

It's normal to have highs and lows in life, and over a month. I'm so grateful for May which gave me:

In yesterday's meeting we were treated to a wonderful demonstration of the importance of self care by Sara of .therapies.

So many people I speak to tell me that they feel overwhelmed. There is too much you do, there are too many options and decisions to make, too many places to be.
It all leads to mental fatigue and that feeling of overwhelm. 😓

But what would happen if you cut out some of the noise? Some of the little tasks which could be outsourced, done in a more strategic way or could be let go of all together?

I decluttered my diary and let go of tasks, meetings or events which were not serving me, but we're draining me of energy.

It did feel weird at first. I sometimes felt FOMO or guilt, but it slowly relaxed and let go. It has given me some perspective and some much needed personal space and time.
Now I am more intentional - only doing things if I love them. And a side-effect is a little JOMO (joy of missing out)!
