✨ Meet Ana Freitas M.Ost – Osteopath at Osteopathy West London ✨

We’re delighted to welcome Ana to the Osteopathy West London team! 🌸

Ana is a qualified osteopath with a particular passion for women’s health, pregnancy and pelvic health, alongside experience working with patients of all ages.

💜 Passionate About Women’s Health

Ana completed a two-year placement at the University College of Osteopathy’s Women’s Health and Expectant Mothers Clinic, gaining valuable experience supporting women through pregnancy and with a range of women's health concerns.

She has worked with patients experiencing pregnancy-related pain, chronic pelvic and abdominal pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, endometriosis, adenomyosis and symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.

🤰 Pregnancy & Pelvic Health

Ana takes an individualised approach to care, adapting treatment to each woman's needs and stage of life. She is also trained in pregnancy massage and medical acupuncture.

👶 Paediatrics & Family Care

Ana is trained in paediatric osteopathy and welcomes patients of all ages, from babies and children through to adults.

🌎 A Personal Connection to Osteopathy

Originally from Brazil, Ana first experienced osteopathy herself at the age of 16 while recovering from major orthopaedic surgery for functional scoliosis.

The impact osteopathy and rehabilitation had on her own recovery inspired Ana to pursue a career in osteopathy and help others on their own health journeys.

🇧🇷 Ana is fluent in both English and Portuguese.

🌿 Outside the Clinic

When she’s not treating patients, Ana enjoys spending time with her loved ones, cooking her favourite Brazilian dishes and looking after her ever-growing collection of houseplants! 🪴

Understanding Neck Tension, Torticollis and Flat Head Syndrome

As a parent, you quickly become familiar with your baby’s movements, preferences and little habits. You may notice that your baby always turns their head to one side, struggles to look in the opposite direction, or seems more comfortable looking one way during feeding, sleeping or tummy time.

While many babies simply develop preferences, consistently favouring one side can sometimes be linked to infant torticollis — a condition where the muscles of the neck become tight or restricted, making it harder for a baby to comfortably move their head through their full range.

Torticollis is one of the most common reasons parents seek advice from a paediatric osteopath, particularly when it is associated with changes in head shape such as flat head syndrome (plagiocephaly).

At Osteopathy West London in Ealing, we provide gentle osteopathic care for babies, children and teenagers, helping parents understand their child’s movement, posture and development.
