Sometimes the most beautiful lip rejuvenation isn’t about adding volume- it’s about restoring structure, definition and a youthful appearance.

For this client, we combined two treatments to achieve a natural, elegant result:

💉 Anti-wrinkle injections were used to soften the upper lip lines (often referred to as smoker’s lines or barcode lines). By relaxing the tiny muscles responsible for these lines, the skin appears smoother while maintaining natural movement.

💉 0.7ml of dermal filler was then carefully placed to restore structure and definition to the lip borders. This subtle enhancement improves the shape of the lips without creating an overfilled appearance.

An added benefit of strengthening the lip border is that it can also help reduce lipstick or lip gloss bleeding into the fine lines around the mouth, creating a cleaner, more polished finish.

✨ Sometimes the best lip transformation starts by removing, not adding. ✨

These before-and-after images show the correction of lip filler migration.

The client presented with filler that had migrated into the wet border of the upper lip, creating a raised, blister-like appearance. Rather than supporting the natural lip structure, the filler had been placed in the wrong tissue plane, resulting in distortion, stiffness, and an unnatural shape.

From the front view, you can also see how the migrated filler prevented the lips from coming together naturally when pursed, affecting both appearance and movement.

💉 Our treatment plan focused on restoring the lips rather than adding more filler.

Using hyaluronidase, we carefully dissolved the migrated hyaluronic acid filler to remove the misplaced product and allow the lips to return to a more natural foundation.

The after photographs were taken two weeks after the dissolving treatment. By this stage, the filler had been successfully dissolved; however, the lip tissues are still healing and remodelling. Following filler migration and dissolving, the tissues often require additional time to recover their elasticity and natural architecture. This healing process can continue for several more weeks.

Once the tissues have fully settled and recovered, we’ll reassess the lips together. If the client chooses to have filler again, it will be carried out using a conservative, anatomy-led approach with careful placement in the correct tissue plane to achieve a soft, balanced, and natural result.
