Trying belly dancing lately has made me realise something…
So many people say they want to feel more alive, more confident, more feminine, more free…
But refuse to step outside the identity they’ve built around themselves.
The same thoughts. The same habits. The same comfort zones. The same self-limitations.
And I say that with love because I know I’ve done it too.
We say: “I’m not confident enough.” “I’m too awkward.” “I’m not sexy.” “I’m not brave enough.” “I could never do that.”
But what if that’s just a story you’ve repeated so many times it became your identity?
Trying new things changes your energy. It wakes parts of you back up. It reconnects you to creativity, sensuality, play, feminine flow, LIFE.
Sometimes healing isn’t another deep conversation. Sometimes it’s moving your body differently. Laughing at yourself. Letting yourself be seen. Doing something that scares your ego a little.
Ask yourself honestly…
Do you only feel worthy when you’re busy? Do you struggle to ever fully relax? Do you cling to martyrdom? Do you avoid being alone with yourself? Do you secretly crave expansion but fear judgement more?
Because staying “safe” can become its own prison.
Pour into yourself. Try the class. Wear the outfit. Move the body. Take up space. Become someone your old self would’ve been too afraid to be.
