From my wonderful friend Sara:

Please take a moment to pause and reflect on the horrifying act to write your child’s name on their limbs before they go to sleep. This moment has haunted me every night since the relentless bombing of Ga.za by Israel.

If you too are haunted by this, write your name on your arm, give us a hint of where you’re coming from and email to [email protected] (link in my bio).
Let’s create something beautiful to express our solidarity with Palestinians.

Messages like this mean everything to me.

Small habits make a big difference.

By prioritising yourself, you find yourself.

I am so proud of the person my client is and is becoming. What an incredible journey.

When we started I asked my client for one thing; show up!

No matter how she feels, what’s going on in her life, she has to turn up to my class, nothing else. This was a big ask for a someone who had severe exercise anxiety. Some sessions were emotionally tough, we didn’t get past warm up and some sessions were full of distractions; however over the year I’ve started to notice the small changes.. the change in focus, the willingness to try new things or challenge herself. Nowadays, my cleint is ready to go and executing her tasks with great form and with positivity. Slowly we started making small non-negotiable adjustments to other aspects of her life such as diet (focused on what can be added rather than removed) and I’ve seen my cleint grow and glow with confidence and strength.

It all started with 2 words: Show Up

Salaam everyone! Eid Mubarak! A few snaps I managed to squeeze in today. The day was filled with fun, food and laughter and best of all was it was hosted at my house.. only now comes the worst part - the clean up! 😭😭

This year I felt particularly sad saying goodbye to Ramadan. It felt like my most spiritually fulfilling one yet. It definitely had to with taking a break from working (perks of being self employed), taking time off from social media and phone and the special people in my life. I pray that everyone had some sort of deeper connection and felt spiritually uplifted. Love Khaleda xx

Another great class for 2023!

1 hour strength and conditioning class. I’ve been running these classes close to 3 years now and with each season there has been great successes!

This is a class for those who want to challenge their fitness, increase their strength, learn correct form and techniques, get lean and ‘toned’ at the same time. Research shows strength training 3 or 4 times a week will greatly improve so much of our body’s ability and functions such as hormone regulation, metabolism, bone density. Strength training also acts as an insurance policy for when we get older, helping us to stay active and independent. Introducing strength training to many of my clients has been a game changer, not only did they realise how AMAZING their bodies are; both in abilities and how they look and feel.

Here’s what you’ll get:
- 1 hour class inc warm up, strength circuit, cardio circuit and cool down.
- Modifications and progression for all exercises so you can go at your own pace and ability.
- Real-time feedback from an experienced coach on form and technique so you avoid risk of injury and get the most out of each exercise
- Support group to share ideas, and ask questions
- Homework exercise and a nutrition advice pack as well as other tools to help you keep going and stay consistent
- A friendly competition with prizes (optional but most people take part because it’s fun)

If you want to sign up, please click on the link on my bio and fill up the form. If you have any questions simply DM or email me [email protected]

New for 2023

This has been on my mind for a long time. I’m so excited to be offering new 30
minute low impact classes in January 2023!! These classes are designed to take you on a fitness journey to help you build healthy habits for life and to think more positively about exercise and love yourselves.

Here’s what you’ll get:
- 30 minute classes inc a gentle warm up and cool down.
- Completely low impact, it’ll be challenging but nothing you can’t handle. Go at your own pace and build the confidence to push yourself.
- Very joint friendly: no jumping, no complicated moves, or pressure on joints such as knees and wrists.
- Easy to follow, fun exercises
- No special equipment needed (sometimes I’ll ask you to have a chair or 2 water bottles ready)
- LOTs of support and guidance from an expert (me!): my specialities include working with clients with multiple health issues.

These classes are suitable for you if:
- You are an absolute beginner to exercise and have no idea how or where to start.
- If you’ve taken a long break from exercise and want to start again.
- If you want a gentle approach to exercise, but still want to see results.
- Don’t have time for exercise but recognise it’s important for your health and well-being.
- Want routine and structure to your day/week.
- You want to build healthy habits for life.
- You want to workout from the comfort of your home, cut out the gym anxiety and commute!
- If you want motivation, accountability and build consistency without complicated jargon and BS methods.

The classes are suitable if you have high bmi, diabetes, high blood pressure, pregnant/post partum or arthritis and other health conditions*

*(you must fill in a PARQ, and in some cases need a sign off from your DR)

If the above sounds good to you, then click on the link in my bio and fill up the form. You can also simply DM or email me: [email protected]

Spaces are limited and you must sign up by 2nd January.

Everything I’ve done over the last 5 years has been to improve my mental health. It has taken a career change, therapy, learning and unlearning, accepting and letting go to come to a place where I am good with myself.

I’m probably seen as one of those ‘strong women’ but if you had seen me in my darkest days you would have thought otherwise, I was a broken shell of a person, working on autopilot and one breakdown away from completely losing control. It took all the courage I could muster to ask for help, draw boundaries and focus on myself. I had get really uncomfortable, have those difficult conversations to be able to move forward.

I come from a culture that dismisses mental health issues and attaches a lot of stigma around. So much suffering goes on, majority of which is totally avoidable if people weren’t ashamed or scared to ask for help, or to prioritise themselves. I hope we can lift the stigma around mental health and be able live and function in excellent health and well-being.

Ramadan Mubarak! Once again the beautiful month is upon us. A time to reflect, contemplate, increase our worship and acts of kindness. A month to purify our souls and set new intentions to attain higher spiritual goals. Wishing you a peaceful Ramadan, and May all our duas be accepted. Ameen

Here’s what I love.. taking something as simple as eggs-on-toast and ‘Pimpin’ it up with the freshness. Who said you can’t have salad ingredients for breakfast? Who said you have to spend ages prepping healthy meals. The only thing I cooked while the bread was toasting was the scrambled eggs, rest was fridge ingredients quickly chopped and thrown on the plate! You now have a nutrition power house to start the day. I always have olives and some sort of picked veg in the fridge like these beets or guerkins for that sweet/salty/tartness that goes so well with creamy eggs. Brighten up your plate today!

Looking for something different to put on our toast? Why not try this AMAZING Sudanese peanut butter salad??!! I watched Beryl Shereshewky’s YouTube video on how different counties eat onions and when I saw this Sudanese salad I just had to try it! It was so delicious, zing from the red onion, sweet, salty and zesty! Literally just 3 base ingredients and your tastebuds will be be transported away from the drab!

Red onion very thinly sliced
Peanut butter (smooth or slightly chunky)
Lemon juice!
Seasoning
Optional: a touch of honey if you want it sweeter.

At the lemon juice to the onion first to take out the sting and then add peanut butter and seasoning. Mix it up and let us sit for about 5 minutes before spreading generously on your preferred toast. Mine is a seeded sourdough.
