I’m helping to look after some of the 350 plus medicinal plants that make up the eco system of Healing Garden-Kirsten Hartvig

Slowly meeting new ones, learning more about the ones I’m more familiar with and just loving the process

They all have unique ways of communicating and yet all speak in one unified field of deep beauty

So many of the plants vilified and considered unsafe are simply misunderstood

The elder wisdom keepers here in human form are passing down their incredible knowledge to keep it alive and to reinstate plant medicine

Many of these plants once established don’t require any support at all. They are deeply resilient and share their medicine abundantly

We are so fortunate to have a school of naturopathy with a thriving herbal garden and a physical health visit. It’s so exciting seeing it flourishing and growing from strength to strength

The next course intake starts in September so do consider being part of this incredible blueprint of healing

Today we visited the spring local to where we are staying. The soil is slightly damp but the spring has dried up. A local man that I spoke to who had been coming since his childhood said this was the first year it had run dry. That it was otherwise a year round active spring

Hux and I decided to gather some of the native berries and create a prayer offering for the waters

At the first harvest we are in the cumulative fire of the year - a heat that has built through the spring and summer and reaches its intensity

I’ve noticed the medicine of the elderberry’s burnt and wilting for the last couple of years at this time …

Contemplating fire is such a powerful musing. If you haven’t listened to the Emerald podcasts episode on Fire I highly recommend it - or any of them! So excited that he will be at Medicine Festival

I find myself contemplating harvests more and more. How many we have left. How the seeds are being stolen to take ownership of food.

There is a deep seated ecological grief that permeates daily life now and brings the reality of what humans have done home

And yet still we have to find some form of hope, to keep nurturing and educating our children, the future citizens, in the hopes they can do better

Writing this I was just visited by a beautiful Jay and reminded of the wonder all over again

Along with some other trusted space holders, I’ve been walking with a woman as she journeys the liminal space of losing a loved one

Sometimes in my work I am called to help when souls are lost suddenly but in this case it is a slow unfolding towards the loss

Throughout our Alchemy Apprenticeship we have made various tools to support her in the transition, when the time comes and beyond

We have been able to reflect on the deep and complex layers of grief that exist in holding love for someone who is leaving - someone we have a long relationship with

As ever the plant spirit medicine has been a very important part of the path and weaves its healing magic into the process

Utilising the tools of the ancient path of the Myrrhophore to annoint and tend to the soul

Some sessions we are doing energetic work and womb tending, in others we craft, share and allow the flow

It’s a deep privilege to hold these 13 moon containers for women who feel the deeper call to drop in

Last summer I bought the beautiful Lilla and her family to a very special spot in the land where I live

It was the most sublime light that day as I hand fasted them in love with their babies

The dappled sunlight was simply magical on the sacred waters and the ceremony was so so special
