WHY HEALTHY FATS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE FOR YOUR HORMONES 👇🏻

If you’ve been told to cut fat to lose weight… it might actually be working against you.

Healthy fats play a key role in keeping your body balanced, energised and satisfied.

1. They help regulate appetite
Fat slows digestion and supports satiety signals in the brain. When meals are too low in fat, it is common to feel hungry soon after eating and experience stronger cravings later in the day.

2. They support hormone production
Hormones such as oestrogen, progesterone, and cortisol are built from fat. Consistently low fat intake can impact hormonal balance, which in turn can affect weight, energy, and mood.

3. They stabilise energy
When included in meals, fat helps slow the release of glucose into the bloodstream. This leads to more stable energy levels and fewer blood sugar crashes that drive snacking.

4. They are essential for nutrient absorption
Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble, meaning they need fat to be absorbed properly. Without it, you can miss out on key nutrients even with a good diet.

5. They support brain and cell function
Fats are a key structural component of every cell in the body, including brain cells. They influence communication between cells and overall metabolic efficiency.

For many women I work with, the issue is not eating too much fat, but eating too little for too long, which can drive cravings, low energy, and hormonal disruption.

If you have been avoiding fats in an attempt to lose weight, it may be worth reassessing whether that approach is actually supporting your metabolism.

Always feeling exhausted… even after a full night’s sleep? 👀

Your body might be trying to tell you something. Fatigue isn’t always about needing more sleep: sometimes it’s about what’s happening beneath the surface.

I offer complimentary 25 minute calls ~ let’s talk this through together. Link in my bio ✨

One of my favourite ways to build a balanced smoothie 🤎

This combination gives you protein, healthy fats, fibre and blood sugar support all in one.

The frozen cauliflower belongs to the cruciferous family and is extremely supportive of liver detoxification. Therefore contributing to hormonal balance.

Perfect for breakfast, post-workout, or those afternoons where energy starts to dip.

Frozen organic berries are one of the most underrated nutrition staples 🫐

When people think of berries, they often think fresh and in season. But frozen berries are generally just as nutritious, often more affordable, and incredibly convenient to have on hand.

They’re typically picked and frozen at peak ripeness, which helps preserve their nutrient content. In some cases, frozen produce may even retain more nutrients than fresh produce that has been transported and stored for several days.

I personally prefer organic where possible, as berries can carry higher pesticide residues compared to some other fruits, and this can be a simple way to help reduce exposure.

An easy go-to:
Warm them gently in a pan and pour over Greek yogurt for a simple, balanced breakfast or snack that provides fibre, antioxidants, and protein 💙
