I first became involved with complementary medicine about 12 years ago when I was looking for a more natural approach to health after becoming dissatisfied with conventional medicine. My involvement increased when I became pregnant with my first child and after his birth I wanted a natural holistic approach to his wellbeing. I increased my use of homeopathy at that stage and began to prescribe for myself, family and friends. The frustration of not knowing enough led to me studying at the College of Practical Homeopathy for four years where I obtained my Licentiate in Homeopathy. The course not only covered Homeopathy but an in-depth understanding of anatomy and physiology, pathology, flower essences, herbal tinctures and nutrition. I am registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (ARH) and therefore am bound by their Code of Ethics and Practice.

How life has changed…

There was a time a night out meant coming home in the early hours, maybe grabbing a kebab on the way, not worrying how much sleep I had, even on a ‘school night’.

Now?
A brilliant evening watching Brooke Combe at Koko (back in the day, Camden Palace… and yes, a few big nights there!)… and I’m home refreshing my sourdough starter ready for making bread the next day.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good night out now and again (minus the kebab 😄)… but I don’t feel the FOMO in the same way.
Give me an early night and a good book and I’m very happy.

This is midlife for me.
A different kind of excitement… and honestly, I wouldn’t swap it.

I keep saying I’m fine…
But I don’t actually feel like myself.

I’m not ill enough to see the GP.
But I’m more tired than I should be.

My sleep isn’t great.
My mood feels a bit all over the place.
My energy dips for no obvious reason.
