Care For Katherine

Poor Katherine was seconds away from getting her gastric pacemaker fitted last week. She was admitted, iv cannula in place, gown on.... to find out that the hospital had no beds left... she was sent home with no date rescheduled...

Katherine is heartbroken beyond words.

She also wasn’t the only person who was sent home due to lack of beds that day...

Hope to keep you posted with the progress.
In the meantime please remind our friend that she is so loved by us all.

NHS England don't fund the quality of life operation so many patients need. There is no cure minimal research and funding into a rare chronic illness to give the quality of life every person deserves Many patients with this condition have to crowdfund the £17000 operation with only 2 UK specialists

Apologies for being a bit quiet on here since reaching our target crowdfunding (thanks again!)

Poor Katherine is still waiting on surgery for the pacemaker but due to some other problems arising she is not yet safe to operate on. We will endeavour to update you as time goes on.

In the meantime if you could sign this petition to help others fight this horrific problem we would be incredibly grateful! Will only take 10-15 seconds of your time.

💫Hello fellow supporters!💫

To help us reach target we have planned a mini bake sale at Hook Veterinary Centre this Sunday (23rd sept) at midday until 4pm

We will have an amazing raffle and various baked goods made by our own team (& their mums in my case! 🙈)
