Amazing to hear from a patient of mine who is back doing competitive sailing after successful partial x two!
Here is the note I received:
Dear Mr Bradbury
I have been meaning to send these pictures to you following ###’s successful selection to the team and trip to Oman in December 25 as a member of the British Blind Sailing Team.
He took part in the World Sailing Inclusion Championships which was a prestigious competition attended by sailors with varying disabilities from all over the world. He sailed in many qualifying races and at the age of 69, together with his team, won a Bronze Medal. He had not sailed competitively with this team before so it was a great achievement.
However, had it not have been for your superb surgery on both of his knees he would not have sailed at all.
In the sailing photos ### is wearing a white hat, except at the medal ceremony where he was given the traditional headgear which he wore.
We cannot thank you enough for the difference it has made to his life and mine.
Kind regards
