What a Fantastic Day in Mitcham!

Last weekend, the Nurse Next Door Wimbledon team had a wonderful time attending the local community event in Mitcham.

It was a pleasure to meet so many local residents, businesses, and community organisations, and to have the opportunity to talk about the care and support we provide within the community.

We were also delighted to meet the Mayor and, of course, a very special visitor – a Womble!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat, entered our competition, or simply came to say hello. Events like these are a fantastic reminder of the strength and spirit of our local community.

We look forward to attending more community events and continuing to make lives better, one visit at a time.

What an honour it was for Nurse Next Door Wimbledon to present an award at the recent ACF Wimbledon Foundation Awards Night.
The whole evening was a celebration of community spirit recognising the people that Make Lives Better everyday.
We look forward to collaborating further and bringing Happier Ageing across the community.

Lauren from Wimbledon Nurse Next Door has been out and about in the community, building wonderful relationships with local care homes and the amazing team at St Raphael’s.

Creating strong local partnerships is such an important part of what we do, helping us work together to provide compassionate care, nursing support, and happier aging for those who need it most.

At Nurse Next Door, we know how important emotional wellbeing, connection, and support are for both individuals living with life-limiting conditions and those caring for loved ones

That’s why we’re proud to work alongside the wonderful team at St Raphael’s Hospice Wellbeing Centre, who offer a range of free social support sessions for people in Sutton and Merton.

From art, music, and yoga sessions to peer support groups, afternoon teas, and befriending services, their welcoming and compassionate approach helps reduce loneliness and creates meaningful connections within the community.

The service is available for people living with conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s, MS, MND, cancer, and other progressive illnesses, as well as carers and those recently bereaved.
