We at Kelpology are truly enjoying summer and beach walks despite the weather being a bit unpredictable. Nothing like the wind in your hair and scent of salty waves.

It’s a hairy affair...

Of all mammals, humans have the longest growth phase of scalp hair compared to hair growth on other parts of the body.

Anagen is the active growth phase of hair follicles during which the root of the hair is dividing rapidly, adding to the hair shaft. That’s what we know as the hair growth phase.

During this phase, the hair grows about 1 cm every 28 days. Scalp hair stays in this active phase of growth for 2–7 years; this period is genetically determined. We don’t know what causes the hair growth phase to stop but this is the reason why some people can grow their hair super long and others struggle to grow it at all.

Whatever your genetics gave you, you should always feel good and make the best of what you have. Kelp loves all hair types and boosts your scalp with nutrients needed in the growth phase.
