EXPLORING SPIRALS
When you run or walk, does every part of you just face forward? Really?
When you stretch your arm out to reach or push or pull, how does your arm turn?
When you look behind you, how much of you twists?
When you get up from the floor, what is the most efficient pathway?
From simple everyday tasks to power sports and martial arts, spirals and curves
underpin and enable movement – if we can stay agile and not get in our own way.
Come and explore!
FINDING LENGTH
Sometimes we need to ‘un-crunch’, hold ourselves together less or re-learn our ability to stand tall, stride out, reach up, bend, twist, touch the ground.
So how do we find that length again?
Do we keep stretching? Push ourselves more? Find a way to ‘relax’?
What if we can find length by using our whole selves in an integrated way so we don’t end up pushing and pulling against ourselves?
What would that involve? How would that feel?
This theme gives us the opportunity to explore finding (or re-finding) length in a wide variety of directions.
