The skin beneath the eye is thin, fragile and often the first place to show the signs of collagen and elastin loss. Crepiness, fine lines and a general loss of firmness in this area can make someone look persistently tired regardless of anything else going on in their face.

This result was achieved by Sunekos, which works by combining hyaluronic acid with a patented amino acid complex that stimulates the production of both collagen and elastin within the tissue. Rather than simply hydrating the surface, it regenerates the underlying structure of the skin itself, which is why the improvement in texture and firmness is so visible after a course of treatment.

What you can see here is significantly smoother, firmer skin with a marked reduction in the crepiness and fine lines that were present before. The result looks completely natural because it is coming from within the skin rather than sitting on top of it.

Sunekos is also one of the treatments we use most often in combination with other approaches, particularly for patients addressing multiple concerns at the same time. It sits very naturally alongside tear trough filler, polynucleotides or a broader skin quality plan.

Filler has a reputation it doesn’t entirely deserve, and a lot of that comes down to what people have seen rather than what good filler actually looks like 👀

The faces that put people off filler are simply the result of too much product, placed without enough clinical thought, by someone who did not read the face properly before picking up a syringe.

In the right hands, filler is one of the most precise and transformative tools in aesthetic medicine. It restores what has been lost, supports the structure of the face and leaves you looking like yourself, just better. Nobody should be able to tell.

Here is everything we wish more people understood before booking, including why filler alone is not always the right starting point and what genuinely good results actually look like 👉

If you have been curious about filler or had an experience somewhere else that left you uncertain, come and have a proper conversation with us first.

When it comes to treating skin in your 50s and beyond, the starting point matters enormously, and for us, that starting point is almost always Sculptra.

The skin changes that happen in this decade go deeper than the surface. Collagen fibres that have been gradually breaking down over the years need to be rebuilt, not just supplemented, and that requires a different kind of thinking than simply replacing volume with filler.

Sculptra works by stimulating the skin’s own collagen production using poly-L-lactic acid, gradually restoring the fibrous scaffolding that gives the skin its structure, firmness, and support over a period of 12 to 18 months. The results are slow by design, and that’s precisely why they look so natural.

The way I think about it is that Sculptra does the groundwork first. It rebuilds the foundation that everything else sits on, which means that when we go on to consider dermal filler or other treatments, they perform better, and the overall result looks more cohesive and more balanced.

For anyone over 50, starting with collagen restoration rather than volume replacement is almost always the more considered approach, and the one that gives the most natural, long-lasting outcome.

This is the post we wish every woman in her 30s would read before booking anything 👉

Your 30s are the most underrated decade for your skin, and the most important one to get right. The changes happening now are subtle enough to dismiss, but significant enough that what you do in this decade directly shapes how your skin behaves in your 40s and beyond.

The approach is simpler than most people expect, and it starts long before injectables.

Swipe through for the full breakdown, then DM us "30" if you want to know more, or head to the link in bio to book a consultation. ✨

Treating skin in your fifties requires a different way of thinking. And the order in which you do things matters more than most people realise.

By the time we reach fifty, the changes happening in the face are structural. Collagen fibres have weakened, fat pads have shifted, and hyaluronic acid has declined. Addressing that with filler alone is like redecorating a house with a compromised foundation. It might look better temporarily, but the underlying issue hasn’t been resolved.

This is why Sculptra is where we start. Rebuild the structure first, restore what’s been lost at a deeper level, and then use filler to refine and contour on top of that foundation. The results are more natural, more lasting, and far more considered than either treatment could deliver alone.

Most people have heard of filler. Fewer people have heard of biostimulators. And for anyone in their 40s thinking seriously about their skin, it is often the more important conversation to be having.

Here is the fundamental difference - filler replaces volume and biostimulators rebuild the infrastructure that creates it. Rather than filling a space, they trigger your own body to produce more collagen, which means the results look and feel completely natural because they are coming from within.

By our 40s, collagen production has been declining for almost two decades. Reaching straight for filler at this point is understandable, but it cannot restore the quality, density, and resilience of the skin itself. That is what biostimulators do, and nothing else does it quite as well.

The honest truth is that these treatments require patience. The results are not instant, and that is precisely why they look so good. People notice that you look well. They cannot tell you why.

If you are ready to invest in your skin properly rather than just maintain it, this is where that conversation starts.

The under eye area is one of the most common concerns we see in clinic, and one of the most nuanced to treat well.

What most people describe as dark circles is rarely just one thing. It can be hollowing creating a shadow, thin skin making the underlying vessels more visible, pigmentation, or a combination of all three. Getting the result right depends entirely on understanding what is actually driving it in that individual face.

In this case, we used tear trough filler to restore volume to the early hollowing beneath the eye, which immediately softens the shadow and reduces that persistent look of tiredness that no amount of sleep or concealer seems to fix. The result is subtle, natural and completely in keeping with the rest of the face. That is always the goal here.

The tear trough is one of the areas we approach with the most care. The anatomy is complex, the skin is thin and the margin between a beautiful result and an overcorrected one is narrow. It is not a treatment we would perform without a thorough assessment first, and it is not always the right starting point for every patient.

For some, polynucleotides around the eye area are a better first step, improving skin quality, reducing pigmentation and stimulating collagen in the delicate tissue before any filler is considered. For others, addressing overall facial volume loss with something like HarmonyCa changes the appearance of the under-eye significantly without touching it directly.

There is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer in this area. But when the assessment is thorough and the treatment is right for the face in front of us, the difference speaks for itself.

After almost two decades in this industry, I have seen extraordinary results, and I have seen the opposite. I have corrected work done elsewhere, and I have had patients sit in front of me in tears because someone they trusted got it badly wrong.

So when people ask what I would genuinely avoid doing to my own face, I take that question seriously. Swipe through for three things I would never allow, and the questions worth asking before you book with anyone 👉🏽

Most people are spending more on skincare than they need to, and getting less out of it than they should.

The skincare industry is very good at selling the feeling of doing something for your skin. Beautiful packaging, compelling marketing, confident shop assistants. But none of that tells you whether a product is actually right for your skin, what it’s doing at a cellular level, or whether it belongs in your routine at all.

The reality is that most people’s bathroom shelves are full of products chosen for the wrong reasons. And without understanding the purpose behind each one, what it’s targeting, how it works, and what outcome you’re actually trying to achieve, it’s very easy to spend a significant amount of money going nowhere.

Good skincare isn’t about having more. It’s about having the right things, used correctly, for a reason.

If you’d like to understand what your skin actually needs and stop spending money on things that aren’t serving it, drop your biggest skincare question in the comments and we’ll help point you in the right direction 💌

Skin laxity in your 40s is not one problem - it is several happening simultaneously, and treating only one of them is why so many people feel their results never quite land the way they hoped.

By your 40s, collagen loss, shifting fat pads, and subtle changes in bone structure are all contributing to what you see in the mirror. A good treatment plan has to account for all of it, and crucially, it has to address things in the right order.

Jumping straight to filler in skin that has lost its tone and integrity is one of the most common mistakes we see in clinic. The order in which you treat matters just as much as what you treat with.

Swipe through for a proper breakdown of what is actually happening beneath the surface in your 40s and the three step approach we use at Look Lovely London to address it properly 👉🏽

If you are ready to approach your skin with a plan that actually makes sense, we would love to help.
