You know you’ve worked in aesthetics too long when you can’t hear “I think I need filler” without mentally beginning a full facial assessment 😂

After more than 16 years at Look Lovely London, we’ve watched this industry change enormously. When I first started, the options were fairly limited. Now we can improve skin quality, stimulate collagen, address pigmentation, tighten skin, restore support and combine treatments in ways we simply couldn’t years ago.

But one thing hasn’t changed: the treatment someone thinks they need isn’t always the treatment we’d recommend.

That’s why we still start with a proper consultation, look at the whole face and skin, and work out a plan that makes sense for you.

If you’ve reached the “I know something’s changed, but I have no idea what I need” stage, come and see us. We’re very good at that bit 💙

The routine that served you at 35 is quietly working against you now 👉🏼

By your forties, collagen and elastin have slowed, cell turnover has dropped, and your skin holds onto far less moisture. Nothing's gone wrong. Your skin is simply dealing with something different, and it needs a routine matched to that.

The good part is it doesn't need to be complicated. A medical-grade retinoid at night, a vitamin C in the morning, and an SPF you never skip will do more than a shelf full of products fighting each other. Get those three consistent, then layer in support with purpose.

The best routine isn't the one that went viral. It's the one built for the skin you actually have.

Skincare is important, but it has limits. Treatments can be brilliant, but more isn’t automatically better. And a high price tag doesn’t make a product useful if it isn’t right for your skin or doesn’t fit into a sensible routine.

The biggest difference usually comes from understanding what you’re actually trying to treat, then choosing the right tools for that job. That might mean protecting collagen before you lose more of it, tightening early laxity before it becomes more established, or simply stripping back a chaotic skincare routine and using fewer products properly.

The patients who tend to get the best results aren’t constantly doing more. They’re following a thoughtful plan over time, with treatments and skincare that make sense together.

That’s the approach we believe in. Less guesswork, less wasted money, and much more consideration behind every recommendation 🤍

That tired, shadowed look under the eyes often isn't tiredness at all. It's the skin thinning and losing its quality.

This is one of the first areas to show it. The skin here is delicate, and as it loses collagen and elastin it becomes crepey, and hollows and shadows start to settle in. Filler can't fix that, because the issue is the quality of the skin, not a lack of volume.

Here you're seeing a course of Sunekos. Amino acids and hyaluronic acid that prompt your own skin to rebuild, so the texture smooths and the whole area looks fresher and more awake. Same eyes, better skin around them.

If your under-eyes are making you look more tired than you feel, let's have a proper look and talk it through. DM us or tap the link in bio to book 💌

Jowls are one of the most common reasons people come to see us, and they’re also one of the easiest concerns to oversimplify.

What you’re seeing along the jawline usually isn’t one isolated pocket that needs filling. It’s the result of several changes happening at once: collagen loss, skin laxity, shifting fat pads and a gradual loss of support through the lower face.

That’s why the best results usually come from treating the problem in the right order.

For some patients, that means tightening the tissue first with treatments such as Morpheus8 or HIFU. For others, collagen stimulation with something like Sculptra becomes an important part of rebuilding support. Filler can absolutely have a role too, but often later, and only where it will genuinely improve structure rather than add unnecessary weight.

No single treatment fixes every jowl. The skill is figuring out what’s driving yours, then building the right combination around it.

If your jawline has started to soften and you’re not sure what would make the biggest difference, come and have a proper assessment with us, and we’ll talk you through it 🤍

If the skin around your eyes is looking crepey, loose or more “paper-like”, treating the muscle alone won’t fix the whole problem.

I see this a lot in patients in their 40s. Anti-wrinkle treatment can still be brilliant for softening movement around the eyes, but if the overlying skin has become thinner, drier and less elastic, you need to address that separately.

That’s where polynucleotides can be really useful. They’re not there to add volume or change the shape of the eye area. The aim is to improve the quality of the skin itself by supporting hydration, elasticity and overall tissue quality over time.

For many patients, the best result comes from combining approaches: treating the muscle where needed, then improving the skin sitting over it.

If the eye area is starting to bother you and anti-wrinkle treatment alone isn’t giving you the result it used to, send us a message or book a consultation via the link in my bio, and we can talk through the best plan for you 💌

Sculptra is one of those treatments that makes far more sense once you understand what it’s actually doing.

It isn’t about placing volume exactly where you want it and walking out the same day with the finished result. It works by stimulating your own collagen production over time, which is why the changes tend to build gradually across the following months.

That can mean better support through areas that have started to hollow, firmer skin, improved texture and a face that looks healthier and more supported overall. The result comes from your own tissue doing more of the work, which is also why Sculptra can be such a good option when the concern is broader collagen loss rather than one isolated area.

It does need the right patient, the right placement and a proper plan, though. Sculptra isn’t the answer for everything, and it shouldn’t be treated like a replacement for every other injectable.

If you’re noticing increasing hollowness, laxity or a general loss of firmness and want to know whether collagen stimulation makes sense for you, come and have a consultation with us, and we’ll talk you through it properly 🤍

When you’re comparing polynucleotide prices, you’re not always comparing like for like.

The product itself matters. Different polynucleotide formulations vary in concentration, quality and how they’re designed to be used, which can influence both the treatment plan and the result you’re aiming for.

But the product is only part of it. Technique matters too. At Look Lovely London, we use carefully selected, high-quality polynucleotides and a cannula technique around the eye area to help minimise bruising, swelling and discomfort, while keeping the treatment as discreet as possible.

So when you see a cheaper price elsewhere, it’s worth asking a few questions: which product is being used, how is it being injected, how much experience does the practitioner have, and what sort of aftercare and support is included?

For us, it’s never about being the cheapest. It’s about using the right product, the right technique and making sure you feel confident in the hands you’re in.

If you’re considering polynucleotides and want to know whether they’re right for you, send us a message or book a consultation via the link in our bio 💌

A few things worth knowing before you decide whether we’re your kind of clinic.

We’re medically led, which means safety, anatomy and clinical judgement sit behind every treatment we offer. We’ll explain what we think will help, what probably won’t, and we’ll tell you when the right answer is to do less, wait, or consider something we don’t provide.

We care far more about long-term skin health and natural-looking results than trying to fix everything in one appointment. That means thoughtful treatment plans, plenty of conversation around collagen and skin quality, and no pressure to keep adding more.

And because we’re a small clinic, you’re never just another name in the diary. We get to know our patients properly, remember what we’ve done before, and build plans around the person in front of us rather than a template.

So if you’re looking for honest advice, medical expertise and a clinic that will always put what’s right for you ahead of making a booking, you’ll probably feel very at home here 🤍
