🦶🏼 Releasing the foot 🦶🏼

If you’ve had sessions from me then you’ll know that I’ll often focus some time to the soles of the feet.

A major player in all daily activities that is often overlooked. They are the foundation of everything we do whilst standing.

My massage gun is PERFECT for releasing the plantar fascia and all the small muscles that control the toes. It also helps release tension all the way up the posterior chain and just feels fantastic!

Why I wear gloves…

It may seem a little different for a massage therapist to wear gloves but I’ve been doing since way before covid life. I believe it should be an industry standard and here’s a few reasons why…

- HYGIENE. If the last couple of years have taught us anything it’s that hands carry germs and bacteria. Wearing gloves limits the risk of passing on any germs making it more hygienic for both me and you.

- PROTECTION. Calluses, cuts and cracked skin can create micro bleeds on our multi purpose hands. Wearing gloves create a thin barrier and avoids skin on skin without losing any feel.

- COST. Oils and balms can be absorbs into the hands. Wearing gloves prevents this, meaning less product being used on the patient.

- CLIENT COMFORT. Although I look after my hands, they can develop callouses and nail nicks. Wearing gloves provides protection and comfort against those.

- IT LOOKS COOL. That’s all.

🤜🏼 A LITTLE ABOUT ME 🤛🏼

I qualified from the London School of Sports Massage in 2015 and have worked as a self-employed Soft Tissue Therapist for the past 7 years.

I was previously a young professional footballer at Fulham FC and have also worked in the game as a therapist for Crystal Palace FC and Chelsea Womens.

Now, I work from my bespoke garden studio at home in Sutton, Surrey. This is where I use modern innovative techniques and tools to help repair, relax and reenergise my clients. I use leading edge instruments such as the RockBlade, Fascial Stretching, K Taping and Red Light Therapy as well as my hands to help get results.

At home I am married to my beautiful wife of 5 years and we have a 2 year old boy, with another baby on the way at Easter 🐣

I offer between 20-25 appointment slots per week, along side this I also work as a part time Greenkeeper at The Wisley Golf Club. I find this split of work gives me great balance and job satisfaction all year round (plus I get free golf 😉).

In terms of treatments that I offer, well, I’m a Sports Massage Therapist that uses multiple techniques and tools to help achieve your goals. Whether it’s general maintenance work, becoming pain free, aiding recovery or increasing energy and mobility, then I’m your man 🙌🏽

Kinesiology Taping. Today I went on a K-Tape course to learn about benefits and application of this modality.

A fantastic hands on practical course by . Covered multiple techniques over the entire body.

K Tape can assist with the recovery and rehab of a multitude of injuries. Happy to be able to offer this in the Rework studio going forward 🙌🏽
