A huge thank you and best of luck to the incredible team behind Twyford Beer Festival as you prepare for another fantastic event.
For many years, the festival organisers, volunteers, sponsors and attendees have shown an extraordinary commitment to supporting Orchid and helping us raise awareness of prostate, testicular and pe**le cancer.
We are continually inspired by the passion, creativity and dedication that goes into making the festival such a success. From embracing more sustainable practices to finding new ways to maximise fundraising, every effort helps ensure that more men and their families can access the information and support they need.
Your longstanding support has made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful to be the charity you have chosen to champion over the years.
Wishing Wizzy and the entire Twyford Beer Festival team the very best for this year’s festival. We hope the weather is kind, the beer flows, the crowds turn out in force, and that it is your most successful festival yet.
Thank you for standing with Orchid and helping us fight male cancer. 💙

A huge thank you to for helping make this year’s Testicular Cancer Awareness Month campaign such a success.

Through Sam’s honesty, passion, and willingness to share his own experience with testicular cancer, together we were able to achieve:
💙 Over 20,000 video views
💙 More than 15,000 direct social media reach
💙 Over 340 engagements and interactions
💙 An additional campaign reach of more than 152,000 people

Most importantly, the campaign helped encourage vital conversations around symptoms, early diagnosis, and life after cancer.

High-profile voices sharing real experiences have the power to break stigma and save lives and Sam’s support has done exactly that.

From all of us at Orchid, thank you Sam for standing with us and helping ensure more men feel informed, empowered, and less alone. 💙

Following last night’s powerful episode of Surgeons: At The Edge Of Life, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in bringing such an important and often overlooked subject into the public eye.

A very special thank you to Alastair for the extraordinary courage, honesty and dignity shown in sharing such a deeply personal pe**le cancer journey. By speaking so openly, Alastair has helped shine a light on a disease that many men are still too frightened or embarrassed to talk about, and in doing so will undoubtedly encourage others to seek help earlier.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Surgeon CJ Shukla for his outstanding surgical skills, compassion, and dedication to patient care. The programme highlighted not only the complexity of pe**le cancer treatment, but also the humanity, sensitivity, and reassurance that clinicians bring to patients and their families during incredibly difficult times.

Finally, we would like to thank BBC and Dragonfly Film and Television Productions for creating such a factual, respectful, and sensitive portrayal of a condition that is rarely discussed publicly. The care taken in telling this story with honesty and compassion was evident throughout and will play an important role in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging earlier presentation and diagnosis.

Programmes like this genuinely have the power to save lives.

A powerful and important story is coming to our screens tomorrow night.

Surgeons: At the Edge of Life returns with a deeply moving episode featuring Alastair Munro, who bravely shares his life-and-death battle with pe**le cancer — a disease affecting just a small number of men each year in Scotland.
Alastair’s journey is one of resilience, loss, and extraordinary courage. Despite facing major surgery, personal tragedy, and an incredibly challenging recovery, he chose to “go public” to ensure that other men do not ignore the signs. His message is simple but vital: if something doesn’t feel right, seek help immediately — it could save your life.

We are incredibly grateful to Alastair for his openness and determination to raise awareness, and for supporting Orchid – Fighting Male Cancer through his story.
We also want to recognise the outstanding work of CJ Shukla, the consultant urological surgeon at the centre of Alastair’s care. His expertise, compassion, and continued support of Orchid’s work in Scotland are making a real difference to men facing rare and complex cancers.
