Iridology is not a process of improving vision. It's a diagnostic aid. And Bates method is really nice and he's working with the idea of relaxation.

But you have to understand really what it's like from the inside. What Bates said, interestingly, when you focus on the process of vision, the mechanics of vision correct themselves. He's talking about it all beginning in the consciousness.

And the exercises that he's talking about, you have to understand from that point of view. So if he's talking about an exercise called swinging, where you put your arms out and you swing back and forth, people are asking, are my arms too low or too high? Or am I swinging fast enough? It's not about that. It's about what the world looks like to you when you're swinging.

It's like a blur, you know, and you don't see and you get okay with it's blurry. So you're dropping behind your field of vision. And I'm going to leave you with an amazing realization.

Are you ready for this? Okay, ready? Look up here. Look at me. And ask yourself, is this picture clear or blurry?

Okay, blurry. But you see the blurry picture clearly.

It's true. So you drop behind it, you know, and you're okay, it's a blurry picture, but you're not emotionally involved with trying to make, you know, so that means you can see. And when you're in this space, then you can watch the picture clear itself like a television set with automatic fine-tuning.

Nothing you can do but watch it get clear.

The publisher of my book has just agreed to publish my other book, which is about eyesight and consciousness, and what we've been talking about tonight. And using your mind, your mind is a tool to correct your eyesight. So when you're talking about affirmations, visualization, positive thinking, and working at alpha, you can use that as a vehicle also.

Just whatever can keep your attention on keeping the process going, noticing the improvement, doing whatever it takes to see clearly. And in the book, I talk about a two-month program. If you set a period of time, during this time you decide how much are you going to work on it.

You know, so, well, if you're dealing with some health issue, we're told, well, meditating three times a day is a nice thing to do. But ask yourself realistically, am I going to do that? If I do it twice a day, then I'm going to look at myself and say, I'm a failure. I'm no good.

I didn't do it. So I'm going to give up. And if you set your goal at doing it once a day, you'll always do it once a day.

And sometimes you might do it twice a day, you know, then you're a success. Then you're doing the right thing. So it's to set some program and to insist on sticking to it for a period of time, two months.

Some people like to write a journal of what they're realizing and the improvements and realizations that they have, whatever's going on in their consciousness, just to get it down. And that's a nice tool. That's a nice tool, if you choose to do that.

But the bottom line is, again, just be yourself and do what you really want to do and don't do what you really don't want to do and trust your trip.

Well, you don't have to remember, but you know historically what was happening for you. You know how old you were and you're aware of what was happening in your life at that time.

And then you can ask yourself, given those conditions, could I understand how I might have reacted to that? And then that can make sense to you without having to remember it from the inside.

Glasses are glasses

I know, but they're glasses. And the goal is to see without them. And people working with these pinhole glasses say at least you're not using lenses.

That's true, but you've got these big plastic, black plastic glasses. They're still glasses. And for me, the option is being able to see clearly without any kind of aid.

And that's the optimal. So I think they're good for demonstrating to you that you don't need lenses, but it's only a matter of time before you're going to be obliged to let go of the pinhole glasses too.

Just keep doing what you've been doing. How many of you have seen more clearly now than you were doing at the beginning of the evening? Can I see a show of hands? Okay.

All right. We're doing good.

So what you've discovered so far... In fact, that was what I was going to talk about next, so we're really in tune. So what you know so far is that you can see better than you thought you could see. And that you've been allowing your vision to come more and more to its natural state.

You can ask yourself, what have you been doing right? I mean, what's been happening here? Of course, I've been talking, and maybe some things I've been saying have been making sense to you. But also, you've been present. You've been present.

You've been here. You've been keeping your attention in the present moment. And that's got to have a positive effect, too.

If nearsightedness means you're spending your time in the future, and farsightedness is you've been spending your time in the past, those are the places where blurry eyesight exists. And the more time, right? Would you like to go to a place where fear doesn't exist? Where guilt doesn't exist? Where is such a place? It's here and now. Just living in the present moment.

And keeping your attention in the present. And being aware of when you're seeing more clearly. And as I said, it's also when you don't need your glasses to do what you're doing.

Leave them off. And when you need them to do what you're doing, put them on. And when you're finished, take them off.

And if they hurt your eyes, get a new examination. What you need to do, many of you, is first release your addiction to your glasses, because they've been like a drug to you. And you've found different reasons for putting on your glasses.

I don't hear what you're saying. Let me just put on my glasses first, right? And you think you're not able to function. I mean, I don't know what it is, but do you really think you wouldn't be able to find your way out of this room without your glasses? Do you think you wouldn't be able to get down the stairs? Do you think if you're sitting in a restaurant, you wouldn't find the food on your plate? Of course you would.

But you have to experience that. And if you don't read the menu, put your glasses on for that. And then take them off.

And enjoy the colors and the form. What a psychedelic show you've got there. But get comfortable without wearing your glasses.

And then you begin to notice the improvement. And get your eyes examined when you have a chance. It can be a very fast process.

It can be a very gradual process. It can take, if you want, a couple of months, you know, so it's a nice, comfortable procedure.

What I heard was that if you go to Alpha and you talk to yourself in a positive way for 15 minutes, three times a day, within 66 days you can get yourself to believe anything and then whatever you believe to be true is true for you. So, since whatever you believe to be true is true for you, I decided it was going to take 66 days, so it took 66 days.

So, my process was not one of deciding one day now I'm healed because that was a big jump for me and I just wasn't prepared for it. What was easier for me was working on the tumor over a 66 day period and so in a particular meditation saying, OK, here's this outer layer of cells that's being sloughed off and my body's natural elimination system will just get rid of it and I could let myself believe maybe it's one layer of cells smaller and then the next meditation starting from that point just take away another layer, and another layer, and another layer, and space it out over 66 days.

And then, well, because I was eating whatever I wanted to eat, I decided this is what my body is asking for, so this must be exactly what my body needs for my healing. And if I could program the food going in, I could program the food going out, so when I was going to the toilet, there's some cancer cells, and they're on their way out, and just everything that was happening during my day, I was telling myself, this is exactly what I need for my healing, this experience I'm in, and this thing that I'm doing, this person I'm talking to, whatever, is part of my healing.

So it was pretty constant dialogue, and every time in my meditation, I had to imagine what the end result was going to be, you know, I'm going to go and visit my doctor, and he's going to examine me and scratch his head and say, maybe we made a mistake. And I kept imagining that picture three times a day, so I kept remembering the scene in the future in order to create it. And then at the end of 66 days, I had to live it.

So I went to the doctor, and he scratched his head, and he said, maybe we made a mistake. So I knew I was living a scene that I had created.

There are relaxation techniques, learn to relax and calm down, and you're no longer subjected to the pressure. That's the gradual way.

Power, control, freedom, ease of being, just being yourself, and quieting your mind. When your mind is quiet, you don't get all that noise.

Then you're relaxing your solar plexus, and you're coming into a space of just being. Just being. When you come into the world, you're just spirit manifesting.

I talk about soul, spirit, and personality. So the soul is the part of you that travels through one lifetime after another, and in a certain lifetime, you take a form, an individualized consciousness. We call the spirit.

So you come into the world, you're just spirit. This is the real you. And whatever is going on for you, it's visible.

You're happy, everybody knows it. You're unhappy, everybody knows it. You feel like, you just do it, right? No inhibitions, you're not dealing with society's values.

And then you begin to learn, and you make some sound, and people respond giving you a lot of love, and that's what you live for. So, you do it more, and after a while, you begin to identify yourself by what you know instead of by who you are. And the personality and the spirit might be moving in the same direction or pulling in different directions.

If they're pulling in different directions, you call it your ego. So anyway, the solar plexus is associated with the mental body and therefore with thought processes, and for most people, their sense of identification with their thoughts. And so, what you do in order to clear your solar plexus, to just be clear, is you allow your thoughts to just get quiet so that you have a choice.

You don't have to keep your mind going all the time. And for most people, they identify themselves by their mental activity. And the thought of stopping their thoughts, I mean, they're afraid, what happens? Am I going to disappear? Is it oblivion? But your thoughts, your identification with your thoughts is in a way just who you think you are, but not who you really are.

And when you allow your thoughts to just go quiet, then you're just in a different space and you're watching the movie from that space. So you're into another experience. You can take your attention away from your thoughts, by putting your attention on your sensations, for example.

When you're in the middle of an or**sm, you're not thinking, right? If you're thinking, you're not in the middle of an or**sm. Okay, so if you put your attention on sensations, on feeling the energy, for example, or on listening to music and being swept with the music, or just on your visual field, you can take your attention away from your thoughts. So what's a good thing to do is just go to a center where you allow the thoughts to get quiet and just stop.

And then your solar plexus is relaxed. And then other nice things are happening. You're more in touch with your intuition, with your inner voice, and you're releasing the symptoms of having had a tense solar plexus.
