When the children have to walk through sludge contaminated with sewage that is washed up from the open combined surface water and sewage manhole. That gets washed all over the Sands and the Play park.
Then paddled into the village surgery, shop, pub, hairdressers and homes. 3 weeks on they are relying on the rain to wash it away.
This is a village issue not just the pubs. A serious health risk. An ambulance could not get through the village.

The landlady of a village pub forced to close during the recent heavy floods says it can’t reopen until a culvert is properly cleaned to help prevent it happening again.
