IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE

The private courtyard garden at Mill End - organised chaos leaning a little tok far towards chaos. But bursting with shrubs and flowers. The birds love it. Tweeting & chirruping from all directions.

The garden also has a hot tub, cold water immersion barrel, BBQ, fire pit, pizza oven, sunken trampoline and small play area.

Try to see all the different places to visit, family activities, heritage places, woodland walks in and great food and drink on the doorstep.

And see the wonderful steps the local organisations are taking to protect the nature and heritage of the region.

Fabulous for families - try a summer holiday, midweek stay. It is a lot cheaper than a weekend visit to Mill End! There is enough to entertain you on site for the whole stay, or get out and about and explore this part of the world.

Resident cat & general mouser at Mill End. First favourite place to take a drink is from a running tap. His second favourite is out of the faux flower vases in the courtyard garden. A clean bowl of water in the private part of our house is obviously not good enough.

Mill End is a large, medieval holiday let in a village location. The courtyard garden has a hot tub, cold water immersion barrel and children’s play area. Plus, to hire, a BBQ, fire pit and pizza oven.

We welcome dogs and there are some fabulous walks from the village and in the wider . Try for all the fabulous family friendly, outdoor active things to do this summer.

When you bring family and friends to Mill End in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, to celebrate a birthday, a hen or stag party or just because… you can use our incredibly well appointed kitchen, so well equipped we’ve had professional chefs compliment us.

Or you can use our second kitchen which is set up predominantly for baking and cocktails, splitting your group into two for a come dine with me vibe - half creates mains, the other half the desserts.

Or have come in to cook for you. No stress while you dress for the evening. And someone else lays the table and fills the 3 dishwashers for you. Yes! 3 dishwashers!

Welcome! The sun is shining. We have just hosted two stag weekend groups who were good as gold.

We have some wonderful hen weekends who are getting creative with their themes and choices of activity and entertainment.

And we have an International Cosmetics brand joining us soon for their annual get together - with delegates from all over the world. Who would have thought they’d choose the Forest of Dean??? But they did! To be fair we can seat 40 for meetings, socialising and dining.

Mill End hosts large but seldom. Our small cottage next door hosts little and often. The big house has gaps in May and August which we can negotiate on pricewise. DM me or email [email protected]

Can you believe, Mill End only had 3 bedrooms when we bought it, and a derelict village shop and two storey barn.

Now it is a characterful, design-led big holiday house for group stays with personality.

The team at Mill End. Simba the Mainecoon, welcoming you, getting bored by bookkeeping and helping clean the tub. Bibi the little black cat, now in Bristol (Simba HATED him) helping with deliveries and taking a rest after the effort.Little Millie cleaning the lid of the hot tub (sadly no longer with us - she helped us with EVERYTHING till she was 19) and Perdida the Podenco, found behind a dumpster in Spain, showing a spot we’d missed on the rug and checking whether the bead bumble bee screen is doing it’s job.

Mill End is a family friendly large holiday let. We welcome dogs and have a secure walled garden. There is a secure dog walking field in the village and miles and miles of woodland all around.

HELLO SUNSHINE

We’d forgotten about you. A sit in the hot tub, a bit of gardening, some payment of bills and emailing. Can’t complain at all.

Days spent at Mill End are glorious, come rain or shine. Even when wet, there is so much to do here - leisure and spa facilities, in and out.

Cocktails to make at our little cocktail bar, great meals to cook in our fabulously well equipped kitchens (so good in fact, that we’ve had professional chefs compliment us), books to read lying on the sofa while looking up at the sky above, playing pool, cosying up by the solid fuel stove….
