Last night I was told by someone claiming to be a local to "stay away from Looe as it's not a theme park ! " Definitely not a theme park but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's probably one of the most popular holiday destinations in the country and for very good reason. 🥰🥰
I'm sure the amazing local businesses in Looe would prefer tourists to come and support their fantastic shops and eateries rather than being told to stay away. 🥰
Anyway, here is an example of one of their beautiful shops. We always pop in when we are in Looe and it has become one of my favourites . Next time you are there please pop in and show some love to Sweet Pea Holistic Healing . Just looking at the pretty window display has always been enough to make me want to go in 🥰😍

Welcoming the energy of the Autumn Equinox into Sweet Pea Holistic Healing 🍂🌻✨

The Autumn Equinox invites us to pause at this beautiful point of balance, giving thanks for everything that has grown while gently releasing what we no longer need to carry.

I have created this abundance display beside my double cornucopia, filled with the colours and symbols of the harvest. At its heart sits beautiful green moss agate, surrounded by clear quartz points, tiger’s eye, lapis lazuli, carnelian, purple fluorite, pale yellow calcite and goldstone. Together, they hold my intention for abundance in all its forms—not only wealth, but health, strength, joy, love, peace, fulfilment and perfect happiness.

May the months ahead bring a generous harvest from everything we have nurtured, and may we always remember that abundance can be found in the smallest moments of beauty, kindness and connection. What are you grateful for as we enter this new season? 🍁

🍂✨ The window has had its Autumn makeover! ✨🍂

Sweet Pea Holistic Healing is officially Autumn Equinox ready, Looe Weekender ready AND Looe Festival of Words ready! 📚🍁✨

I’ve loved putting this display together and bringing everything I love about this time of year into the window — the warm autumn colours, a little bit of magic, crystals, books and all those cosy seasonal touches that make September feel so special.

And this year feels even more exciting because my books are part of it too! 📚💛 Seeing them sitting there in the window, especially Ashen Dale AD 893 alongside my other Sweet Pea Stories books, feels rather wonderful after all the work, ideas and late nights that have gone into creating them.

So if you’re in Looe for the Weekender, visiting for the Festival of Words, or simply having a wander through town as we move towards the Autumn Equinox, come and have a peek at the new window — and pop in and say hello!

Something a little different has been growing quietly alongside Sweet Pea Holistic Healing… 🌿📖

I have begun writing a novel.

This time, I’m stepping away from my healing books and travelling back more than a thousand years, to Danelaw in AD 893.

The story is set in a tiny fictional hamlet called Ashen Dale, tucked away in a Yorkshire valley where life follows the rhythm of the land and the seasons. A handful of families share the work of harvest, birth, illness, winter and survival. There are healers and woodsmen, a blacksmith and brewer, children growing up beneath ancient trees, herbs hanging from rafters, fires burning through the long nights and stories carried from one generation to the next.

At the heart of it is Aelfwyn, an eighteen-year-old healer and midwife learning from her mother, Yrsa, and beginning to discover the woman she will become.

And then, one day, a stranger arrives…

I wanted Ashen Dale to feel like somewhere you could almost remember. A place of earth, fire, herbs, old beliefs, family, community and belonging. Although it is very different from my inner-healing books, I think there is still a little thread of Sweet Pea running through it — because underneath everything, this is a story about people, connection and finding where we belong.

And so my journey into Ashen Dale AD 893 begins. 🌿

I already have a feeling I’m going to become very attached to this little hamlet and the people who live there.
