What an incredible day at Thomasson Memorial School & Manchester Deaf Centre!

As part of our Destination Deaflympics programme, 13 deaf young people came together for a Have a Go Day, trying out Deaflympic sports, building friendships, and meeting some truly inspiring role models.

Deaflympian Nathan Young, who competed in swimming at the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics, joined on the day to teach dry-land swim techniques and show the pupils first-hand that deafness is no barrier to sport. 🙌

With 43% of deaf children classed as inactive, doing NO physical activity at all (vs 26% of non-disabled children), events like this matter.

Deafly Dragons is proud to announce the launch of our specialist 1-to-1 football coaching sessions for deaf children across the South Wales area.
