Indian skin remembers every mistake

Hyperpigmentation in Asian skin is not “just a dark mark”.

It is skin that can react very aggressively to irritation, heat, inflammation and the wrong products.

I will grow older gratefully.

But I do not need to look permanently exhausted while doing it.

10 reasons I refuse to “just age gracefully”:

1. My skincare routine deserves better results than blind optimism.

2. Gravity already does enough. It does not need encouragement.

3. Looking refreshed is not the same as looking fake.

4. If we colour our hair and whiten our teeth, why is collagen suddenly controversial?

5. My neck started acting differently before my personality did.

6. I am not trying to look 21. I am trying to look less tired than I feel.

7. Jawlines should not disappear without a fight.

8. “Natural” should still look well rested.

9. Self care evolves with age. At some point it becomes SPF, hydration, collagen stimulation, and strategic decisions.

10. Because confidence is not vanity.

Aesthetic treatments done well should not change who you are.

They should help you look like yourself on a good day.

Working in aesthetics every day means you notice the little changes in your own face too.

For me, it was:
• deeper nasolabial folds
• heavier marionette lines
• loss of jawline definition
• stronger neck bands

I also carry a huge amount of tension in my jaw, neck and shoulders. I am a bit of a control freak 😅 and over time I feel that tension was making my lower face look heavier and more tired.

Today it was my turn to sit in the chair at Fab Clinics with Dr. Rabi

We used Juvederm dermal filler to restore support and soften the areas that were bothering me, while keeping everything natural and balanced.

Dr Rabi used a cannula technique for much of the treatment, which I personally really value. A cannula is blunt tipped rather than sharp, meaning fewer entry points, often less bruising and swelling, and an added layer of safety around blood vessels.
