This project is being run by our workmate Emily, who is developing her catering and baking skills through the project.

Tickets are just £1 each and can be purchased from The Coffee Hatch at Six Acre Nurseries.

At the end of each month, one winning ticket will be drawn at random. The winner will be contacted, asked to choose their favourite flavour, and their freshly baked cake will be ready to collect one week later!

Our recent 'Healthy for Me' sessions with workmates have been a fantastic success! 🎉

We organised six sessions across our Greenfields and Six Acres sites, delivered by the Leicestershire County Council Nutritionist Team, giving our workmates the opportunity to learn more about healthy choices and developing positive habits around food and everyday life.

The sessions have been fun and interactive, with our workmates sharing their experiences, asking questions and exploring practical ways to make healthier choices.

We’ve talked about everything from portion sizes and takeaways to healthy snacks and what makes up a balanced diet.

A huge well done to everyone who joined in, and thank you to the Leicestershire County Council Nutritionist Team for making the sessions so engaging and enjoyable!

Due to the road between Rempstone crossroads and East Leake & Costock Crossroads being closed and their being limited access to Six Acres, back open tomorrow as normal ☕️🍰

The road from Rempstone crossroads to Six acre nurseries is closed. A diversion is in place to come in to six acres from the East Leake/ Costock village direction.

We're delighted to be hosting four Stay & Play sessions at The Play Patch and Conservation Area at Six Acre Nurseries, Costock on:

7th August- SPACES
12th August- SESSION FULL
21st August- SPACES
26th August- LAST FEW SPACES AVAILABLE

Our sessions are led by a member of our experienced team and supported by our amazing workmates – adults with learning disabilities who bring their own skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to each activity. By sharing what they know with the children, our workmates continue to build their confidence, develop existing and new skills, and play an active role in their local community. 💛

Children will enjoy:

🐴 Grooming and Feeding our Friendly Donkeys
🥪 A Tasty Lunch Box

Suitable for children aged 4–10 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

At The Coffee Hatch, our workmates receive hands-on training in food preparation, food safety, hygiene, customer service and working as part of a busy kitchen team. They take real pride in maintaining high standards, and this award is a fantastic recognition of the hard work, dedication and care they put into everything they do.
A huge thank you to our support team, who work alongside our workmates to provide the guidance and opportunities that make achievements like this possible.
