I'm so excited to announce that my art meditation workshops will now be available online.

Whether you've attended before, curious about art meditation, or you wanted to previously attend, but you don't live nearby, this will be ideal for you.

Anyone can join from anywhere in the world, so please feel free to share these events 💛

No art experience is required to participate.

I'll be offering 2 FREE taster workshops next week 🎨

All you'll need is:
✨️ Your wonderful self
✨️ A4 plain paper or plain notepad
✨️ Black ink pen
✨️ Colouring pencils or pens

Booking beforehand is required, and you'll receive a confirmation with a private link and further details about the event.

Beautiful summer days 🌞 means glorious summer evenings 🌅 and what better way to spend one of yours than with us, creating 🎨

Art meditation provides the time and space to slow down, decrease our cortisol and stress levels, and leave us feeling calm, relaxed, and creative 😌

You don't need to have any art experience to take part.

If you haven't been before, you'll be welcomed into a friendly and encouraging environment 💛

I recently posted a video. It was raw and gave a slight insight into my world. The following day, I had a hangover 😬

A vulnerability hangover 😳

Being vulnerable is not easy. And l, especially, find it incredibly difficult. All I wanted to do the following day was to delete the video, but I didn't.

When we want change in life, this comes with parts we may not like, but coming out of your comfort zone and doing them anyway has an element of freedom.

Life after cancer becomes a quiet journey you walk alone, even if you have people around you.
It's easier and safer, and it reduces the risk of showing your vulnerable parts to others.
It's not something you decide overnight, but along the way, for various reasons, you reach that point.
Coming out of it can feel difficult, but I realised that having that mindset was something I needed for a period of time, but now it's no longer required and may be a barrier to moving forward.

So if this feels familiar to you, you're not alone, and when you're ready, as yourself, do you still need it?

We create ways to keep us safe, but they are not required forever ✨️

🧠The beauty about our brains is that no matter what we have trained it to do, we can change that routine as many times as we want ✨️

I wasn't planning to make this video. I didn't even use my fancy camera 😬

I was even in two minds whether to share it 😳

It's raw, vulnerable, and only a snippet of what people face after cancer, including me.

I have been under investigation for the last two months to rule out cancer. I had several invasive procedures and moments where the fear of it being back was hard to deal with.

I've had moments of tears and wondered if my russian roulette life was coming to an end.

But the one thing I noticed this time, I was able to handle it differently to previous scares, and that'll be in part 2.

Life after cancer doesn't have to crippling. It's not an easy ride, but it also doesn't have to take over your life 💛

✨️️Art meditation is a powerful way to relax, focus, and create. By turning your attention to creativity, you naturally enter a meditative state, allowing the 🧠 to slow down while gently awakening your creative energy ✨️

We all have two sides of the brain: the logical and the creative.
Most of our daily lives are driven by logic, leaving little room for imagination, emotional expression, or intuitive thinking. When these sides are out of balance, we can feel disconnected, unsure, or creatively blocked.

Have you ever felt lost, disconnected, or struggled to trust your instincts when making decisions? This may be a sign that your creative side needs space to be explored and expressed 🎨💡

Art meditation offers that space.

Guided by a qualified creative therapist, you’ll be supported in letting go of self-imposed limitations and reconnecting with your natural creativity. The focus is not on the final piece but on the experience, being present with your thoughts, emotions, and the movement of your body as you explore colour, shape, and texture.

Whether you already enjoy creating or feel you’re “not creative,” this experience is for you.

This is for both adults and children aged 9+. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

In times when you feel overwhelmed, take a moment to breathe deeply.

You might think that's the most crazy thing to suggest, but I promise you it works.

Stress can increase subtly. We may not even realise we're overwhelmed until we've reached our limit.

By stopping what we're doing and taking a couple of deep breaths in through the nose and slowly out through the mouth, it allows the nervous system to calm, the brain to relax & refocus and our bodies to come out of a stressed state.

It sends our blood flow back to the brain and organs, decreases elevated hormones (cortisol and adrenaline), and allows our rapid heart beat to slow down.

✨️Do it wherever you are
✨️Close your eyes (if you can)
✨️Go out onto the grass or by water (if you can)

Take as many deep breaths as you need, and you'll be able to carry on.
