Re-Utilise CIC Community Hub

11/10/2026

Yesterday some of our wonderful volunteer Christmas Elves started to create and prepare for our Christmas Fayre.
It was a lovely day full of laughter and warm community spirit and we are really grateful for our volunteers help and support 🌟

Our Christmas Fayre is to be held on Saturday the 28th of November 2026 at our Community Hub at the Old Lowestoft Hospital Site, Tennyson Road, Lowestoft. 11am-3pm.
🎄🎄ALL WELCOME!🎄🎄

Our September volunteer of the month is our fantastic Wendy!

Wendy is our fabric guru! She spends hours sorting, cutting and organising any fabric that we have had donated.
She also has been a whizz in our stockroom making sure the fabric is all neat and tidy.

On a Friday you can find Wendy volunteering at our free drop-in and if she is not crafting, Wendy is helping, supporting and teaching others to sew and create fabulous things!

Thank you Wendy, we are really grateful for all that you do and we appreciate all of your hard work 🌟

🔴🔴🎨🎨PAINT UPDATE🎨🎨🔴🔴
PLEASE NOTE: Due to paint being dumped outside our hub again this weekend, we are unfortunatley putting a hold on ALL paint donations and for the forseeable future we will be unable to take any paint at either our Community Hub in Tennyson Road or at our Scrapstore in London Road South in Lowestoft.

This is a real shame as we love to reuse and repurpose any paint we recieve, but we feel we have no choice now due to the amount of unusable paint we are having dumped.

We have clear signage saying donations are to be brought to the hub only on a Weds and a Friday 10-2pm so that our team can then check any paint to see if it is in a useable condition. We also charge £1 per tin for any donations we accept.

Sadly there are massive costs to be able to dispose of any waste paint correctly and safely, so we have made the difficult decsion to pause any donations of paint from immediate effect.

Please keep an eye on our social media if anything changes.

Thank you for your understanding.

Congratulations to our team members Trevor and Christine who completed and and passed their Blended Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work last week.

The course held at provided the attendees with valuable knowledge and practical skills to help them respond confidently in an emergency.
This valuable course was heavily subsidised by BID which was greatly appreciated as we are a small not for profit organisation.
