Science shows that even after birth, a child’s DNA can remain inside a mother’s body for years, sometimes a lifetime. These fetal cells travel through her blood, settle in her brain and organs, and become part of her. The phenomenon is known as fetal-maternal microchimerism.

Research led by Amy Boddy, associate professor at UC Santa Barbara, has found these cells in a wide range of maternal tissues. She describes it as “a small amount of genetically different cells or DNA in someone’s body.”

Some of these cells even take on new roles. For example, fetal cells that migrate to the mother’s heart can transform into cardiac cells, working alongside her own to help that organ function. It’s a biological connection that quite literally beats on.

Even after a miscarriage, fetal cells remain in the mother’s body. For women who experience pregnancy loss, “it’s not just in their head that they’re forever changed by that pregnancy,” Boddy says. “Those cells may exist and influence their biology.”

With so much we still don’t know about how these cells function, one thing is certain: motherhood leaves a mark that science is only beginning to understand."

Eggs do more than provide protein for muscle growth—they also contain choline, an essential nutrient that plays an important role in brain health. Choline helps the body produce acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in memory, learning, and communication between nerve cells.

Eating eggs as part of a balanced diet can help support normal brain function, healthy nerve signaling, and cognitive health. They also provide vitamin B12, healthy fats, and other essential nutrients that help nourish both your brain and body.

And myelin requires cholesterol …

Your brain is home to an extraordinary network of nerve fibres that allows different regions of the nervous system to communicate. Many of these fibres are wrapped in a fatty substance called myelin, which acts like insulation and helps electrical signals travel rapidly along nerve cells.

Some popular estimates place the combined length of myelinated nerve fibres in a young adult brain at around 160,000 kilometres. That is roughly four times the circumference of Earth. The exact total depends on how nerve fibres are measured and which structures are included, so the figure should be treated as an estimate rather than a universal measurement.

This microscopic communication network helps your brain coordinate movement, process sensory information, form memories and support thought. Myelin is especially important because it allows signals to travel efficiently, helping different parts of the brain and body work together.

When myelin is damaged, nerve signalling can become disrupted. Conditions such as multiple sclerosis demonstrate just how important healthy myelin is for normal nervous system function.

What if the secret to holistic health wasn't in a bottle, but in your closet?

It's time to talk about what mainstream science is finally beginning to acknowledge: the frequency of our reality. Everything is vibration, and that includes the fabrics we put against our skin every single day.
For centuries, linen has been revered not just for its durability, but for its profound energetic properties. Today, we understand why.

Pure, high-quality linen boasts a spectacularly high frequency-measured at 5000 signature units. For context, a sick or low-vibrational human body usually operates under 100 signature units.
Other common fabrics (like synthetic polyester) actually have a frequency of zero.

When you drape yourself in Linen, you aren't just wearing clothes; you are stepping into a biological resonator. Your body entrains with the higher frequency of the linen, pulling itself out of a 'sick' energetic state and promoting deep, cellular restoration and healing.

This is the vibrational medicine of the future, rooted in the ancient wisdom of nature. Elevate your frequency. Experience the healing power of Linen.

Dr. Benjamin Bikman has highlighted the importance of cholesterol in human health, pointing to research showing that some of the longest-lived populations have higher cholesterol levels. A 1997 study published in The Lancet followed 724 elderly individuals and found that higher total cholesterol was associated with lower mortality over 10 years. Similar findings have been reported in other studies involving adults aged 80 and older, raising questions about how cholesterol levels relate to longevity in advanced age.

Cholesterol is an essential molecule involved in maintaining cell membranes, producing steroid hormones, and supporting normal cellular function. It also plays important roles in mitochondrial membrane structure and function. However, while certain cholesterol-lowering medications may affect mitochondrial processes, there is insufficient evidence that lowering blood cholesterol necessarily damages mitochondria. Observational findings in older adults also do not prove that higher cholesterol causes longer life.

Singing might be doing more for your body than you thought. Research on professional choir singers found that a protective antibody in your saliva called sIgA spiked significantly while they sang. During rehearsals, levels jumped 150 percent. During actual performances in front of an audience, they jumped 240 percent.

sIgA is an antibody that guards the moist surfaces of your body, especially your mouth and throat, where germs love to sneak in. A bigger immune boost in those areas means better protection against infection. The most interesting part was that the effect was even stronger during live performance, suggesting the combination of singing plus the energy and stress of performing created an even bigger immune response. Your voice and the act of performing literally changed how your body was working at a biological level.

But here’s the honest part. This study doesn’t prove that singing heals illness or that you should belt out songs instead of going to the doctor. It shows that vocal activity creates measurable changes in your immune response, at least temporarily. It’s not a cure. It’s evidence that your body responds to what you do, and sometimes in surprising ways.
