Ever noticed how some people feel like oxygen to you?
Like when they give you their time…
their attention…
their affection…
You can finally breathe again.
And when they don’t?
It’s like you’re gasping underwater.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth…
If someone else is your oxygen tank,
you’re not actually breathing…
you’re surviving on borrowed air.
And that means they get to decide
when you feel okay…
and when you don’t.
That’s not connection.
That’s dependency.
Real emotional freedom?
It’s being able to breathe
whether they show up or not.
Not because you don’t care…
but because you’re no longer relying on them to keep you alive.
So the question is—
Who are you handing your oxygen tank to right now?
And what would change if you took it back?
If this hit a nerve, there’s usually a reason.
