Luton Borough Council - DISABILITY NETWORK MEETING

Great to attend the monthly Disability Network meeting to hear about the initiatives and ideas in progress. Really important to understand the disabilities that people have and how they impact day to day lives so that we can work to be more inclusive. Some great events in the pipeline like the Sunflower Park Run and also Disability Awareness Month. Keep and eye out on the Council Website for more information.
Great to see so many people join this meeting in person and on line from so many different organisations - well done!

LUTON SHOP MOBILITY AT Luton Point

It was good to meet the volunteers who run the Luton Shopmobility service. They hire out scooters for £2 per hour which is affordable. The Luton Point offers them great support but they still require volunteers and donations to be an affordable and accessible service to those in need. If you can support them in providing this valuable service, please get in touch with them or me - Thanks. Well done to the volunteers here.
